I don't understand how exactly the passport eliminates a tablet. It's a 4.5 inch screen. Is it because it's wider than it is narrow? Anytime I've had a tablet (other than the Microsoft Surface, which was terrific) I've never really used it. Not a huge tablet guy I guess. Especially since I don't have Wifi everywhere I go. But when a tablet is convenient, I grab it for its screen size. Again, my question is, how does the passport eliminate the tablet?
I would guess the screen and /resolution/ has become expansive enough to compensate for it being only 4.5" and it's a lot more portable.

Honestly I stopped using a tablet when I got my Q10. Actually our entire company is now tablet free. There is no need. If you need a larger screen pull out computer with 4G network from phone over hotspot and your good. BB10 is so fast and functional.

I divide my devices into different task all the time. Before I got the passport I thought I could stop using nexus 7, now I still watch videos on my nexus. On the other hand, when I am on the move, I stopped carrying nexus. To your question I guess my answer is 50/50.

I would never use one device for everything, every device is meant to work on specific task IMO

I found when I bought my z10 and iPhone 5s last year that my tablets had become obsolete, most tablets are not true PC's anyways and where never designed to replace the laptop. I use my smartphone for email, messaging and social media 90% of the time and now with my Passport and Blackberry blend on my iMac, I now have a complete interface between my desktop and smartphone. I sold my two tablets last month and not looking back.

Only time I use my Samsung Pro now is when I need to show a customer something on a larger screen from across a desk or table. Otherwise, this phone makes the tablet unnecessary...which, I really didn't anticipate. Quite the machine, this.

Pretty much the same as well! I use to use a Q10/Z30 with a samsung galaxy tab LTE tablet for google calendar. I managed my appointments this way! But the errors touchtyping always bogged me down so really happy to be using a qerty key boarded device again!

I now spend more time looking for my ipad than using it and since I don't use it anymore with my combined daily drivers (Q10+Passport) I only check its battery and forget about it.

The Passport has wiped out all of my routine tablet usage. My Passport is fully intended to be the main computing device, with the laptop & server being auxiliary. With slimport/casting to a monitor, BT mouse & keyboard, the Passport works quite well for most of my device needs. The "user base" Blackberry establishes with the Passport will be very solid.

My partner asked me if I wanted a 4G tablet Verizon was offering and I replied, does it make phone calls like the one in my pocket?

Actually with the physical keyboard I can honestly say that the passport is probably a better Bridge to a laptop than the tablet was.

Passport is a week old. I'm trying to figure out what to do with my iPad Mini Retina I bought in February. No use for it whatsoever now.

The PP screen is better. Physical keyboard. Faster. True multitasking. Make calls. Listen to whole iTunes library. Use Office. Send texts. All the apps I need. No advantage to the iPad Mini, maybe to the iPad with its large screen for streaming. I even have a small Bluetooth keyboard I can use with the PP if I need to do heavy duty writing.

Maybe I'll sell the iPad Mini on Ebay.
