9, camera could be better.

Because i don't install leaks. And the software has many bugs. (camera, wifi, swipe not responsieve, etc)

A full qwerty ala q10 would have been better.

All the other problems are fixable either by software or developer support.

Got to be software issues. It's always been ****ty on BlackBerry 10 across all devices no matter how good or bad the hardware is.

9 - there is slight issue with camera focus, app selection in amazon app store, touch screen responsiveness (there is a lack sometime swipe to wake it up).

Your issue will vary and therefore your rating.

Exact same complaints, but I'm a harsher critic... 8.

I'm growing tired of BlackBerry releasing OS' that are buggy. Some particular issues I'm having are:

- The phone will freeze briefly when attempting to swipe unlock the device. - The camera focus is slow.
- I've experienced two random reboots in the 3 weeks owning the device.
- wifi issues at work (but not at home) and all other devices connect to work wifi fine.

Other than that I'm enjoying the phone. Cell signal for example is noticeably better than my Z10.

Tell us how you have been able to evaluate build quality between 'different devices'. This is unclear. Do you own more than one?

I have used the Passport, and the camera is certainly not 'atrocious' in my opinion, even in low light. It does, however, focus more slowly than I would like, and I would expect that will require a software tweak. If one waits for the focusing to complete, image quality is very sharp.

Your opinion, of course, is as valid as mine, as long as it comes from your own hands-on experience.

Third party developers are the guys holding the BlackBerry 10 platform together. No help from big companies.

Dave, So far I contacted 8 developers of the app and as of today now, I have 4 confirmed that they are working on it and two already uploaded the app on blackberry world. But BB still have not released it. Speaking to the developers of the app, they say sometimes the bottleneck is at BB side. Other developers don't care since the app can be installed through Snap.. Perfect example is Waze, block on bb world and work flawless from Snap. Same with the Toronto Leafs app, blocked at BB world and works great from android. This is my only beef, trying to get to BB via twitter to release these apps. I still have the Z30 and when I go to BB world there is 10 times more apps available that it is for the passport. Yes I know the passport has the square screen and I love it. But 90% of all these apps will work on the passport.

The way that I am thinking is that many buyers of the passport don't know to how to side load snap(which should be in bb world), or install leaks and updates. When they search the apps and doesn't exist, then they will loose a lot of buyers. The amazon app store is a nice addition, but no where close to google app store.
