Look at the screenshots showing use. Anything under 20% screen use is very light for me.
Screen use can be deceptive, you can hammer the phone all day if you are on Blend and screen use would show up as being negligible.

But then you're not really on the device. My impression is that the question is of device use rather than an interface. Like what is possible when comparing, say, Z30 vs Passport battery.

Well I'm for everyone getting good battery life on their passports but I'm disappointed. One major reason I got this phone was for the long battery life. However I'm lucky if I get a few hours out of it.
As you can see by the screen shot, nothing impressive. I do play a few games on my device but mostly I use it for communication such as emails, wattpad, whatsapp etc.
I would say I'm a heavy user, though is sucks that the battery still doesn't last as long as I had hoped.

I'm sorry that your battery life hasn't been as good as expected. But let me just say that wallpaper is fantastic.

I'm a moderate to heavy user, my battery life has improved from 11 to 18 hours average according to the device. The crazy thing is the BlackBerry rep said I'm getting the standard. She also said that's the advertised 30 hrs is the device being tested doing nothing. I couldn't take the nonsense anymore.

Battery life as advertised is never the same as real life.

Posted from my SEXY Q10 that I'd STILL be using IF I could find my FRACKING BANKING APP on BBW. And no I won't put Android apps here so don't EVEN go there!!!!

Mine easily lasts 30-36 hours on moderate use

I will list a optimisations I have done on my PP...not sure whether it has influenced battery . Nevertheless could prove useful to a few out here maybe

    1. My mobile network mode is kept locked to 3G (changed default '&' option)
    2. My brightness level is maintained at almost 20-25% which I feel is sufficient for me in the PP
    3. I use 'power tools' app to automatically enable and disable bluetooth while I drive to and from office (based on time - home to office is 2 hour drive)
    4. NFC is disabled
    5. Screen timeoout is set to 30s
    6. I have disabled LED for emails...
    7. I use power tools app to automatically change my device volume...reduce phone volume when in office while increase once reach home (time based)
    8. Minimal android apps

I just understand but the gap is very wide I think that surprises me. I think my Q10 stacks up extremely well to my PP.

There are many of us here who easily get 30 hours battery. Many have attached screenshots as well. So SHE is wrong

I plug it in every night before bed, take it off the charger at 6:30 a.m. and it never dies before bed. The other day I was out until 2:00 in the morning and it didn't die on me. Don't really pay much attention to battery life. Not a concern for me, which is great!

That's my thing the agent before her said it makes no sense she said it's average. For whatever reason I'm unable to attach pics. But I'm at 90% battery life with 11 hours left.

Geez. Today has been rough. I'm hopping on the charger for the first time ever at work. I'm down to 49% where, normally, I'd still be in the 80s. I'm not sure what's killing it at the moment.

Much better than I imagined. It's been a full day of heavy use and it's the second day of use and at 8pm still have 37% left, no charges in between excellent!

I would consider myself a heavy user at work. And very pleased with the battery life. Only have to give it one good charge during the day. Way better than any phone I've ever had. Including the Z30

Easily two days on moderate use.

The closest I got to empty it within a day was while I was roaming international. I took it off the charger at 6am. I then took about 40 mins of HD video, 30 mins video chat, about 30 mins of BBM voice call, tons of photos, emails, sms, BBM and web browsing. By 11pm battery was still at right above 10%. My colleague iPhone battery was dead by noon time. The other guys with 4S also ran out of battery by late afternoon.

    Cheers

    I'm a heavy user
50 emails a day respond to 15-20, 90 minutes on phone per day plus checking social media 2-3 times daily.
I get from 6:30 am till 11:01pm with about 10-15% left
Screen brightness at 40% with lte network on.
By far the best battery I've experienced on a modern smartphone!!

Excellent battery. You can squeeze 2 days with moderate/light use. Heavy use you will get a full day without question.

Battery lasts 3-4 times longer than the Z10 battery. I can get through the entire day (wake up to bedtime) without having to plug in, which is all that I can ask for.

Good thing about the Z10 was that I could swap out the battery. The problem was that I swapped it 3 times a day!
