I fell asleep on this thing the other night. Woke up only to realise I've lied on top of the device for hours on end. Nothing happened at all.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback on this thread. I am waiting for the shop BlackBerry black Friday sale to see if the passport will be discounted, at that point, I will decide if I will purchase the passport.

So, the 'screen lifting' is not really the factor that holding you back to buy BlackBerry Passport... but the 'pricing' itself...

No, not the pricing. If I can get something on "sale" why not wait a month.

I have mine a year coming. Always keep it in its Stilgut case never try to put it in my back pocket and sit on it never had it heating up or rebooting. Had the flashing business but since the software update back then it's jst a great phone. Screen is perfect has never budged.

Almost a year and two significant drops... no lift... but I also believe use of a good case helps. Keeps the chassis from flexing /twisting

Had mine since November 2014, always in a hard case with front cover (Tetded leather), no lift whatsoever. I often carry it in the front pocket of my jeans, but remove it to sit down. Had a few drops from the car seat onto the pavement - the case is a little scuffed, but the phone is unscathed. Very few random reboots, but then I reboot it at least once a week just in case.

Perfect phone for my needs - the first phone I haven't had the urge to upgrade.

Since launch, no lift. When in my pocket it's always front left pants pocket, screen facing leg. IDK if that has anything to do with it- but that data may help your hypothesis.

No screen lift here. Had it since March. I don't put it in tight pockets either, and I'm not beneath putting it in the fridge when it gets too hot thanks to the freak South California summer this year. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

Just buy it. For whatever flaws the Passport may have, there are dozens of other reasons to love it.
