I need your help to decide between Passport original black or Passport Silver edition.
the price difference is 63�. (approx 100$)
Is it worth to go for SE ?

Silver edition is more comfortable to hold I think. I have the OG and it's good but I'd have loved to have the SE

I have both, the SE has all the advantages of the OG plus it's more comfortable to hold and type on, and it looks more classy.

For me OG, its smaller than se and more like a real passport. And there are problems with se logo, because it can get rust

Thanks for your reply, it seems obvious that SE is the way to go, but am just trying to see if 63� difference is justified?

Small reason for it is also the tempered glass which fits it snuggly

SE is for premium, unless you're that other fruit user

I owned both, and preferred the OG.

Primarily because the SE had a minor build issue with screen lift in one corner, whilst my OG was perfect from the first day to the last (1 year later).

OG felt more solid to me.

It was present on both SE's Amazon delivered to me.

Think it varies how much / little lift there is, but it's always the same area (top right).

Not sure how widespread it was. Hard to say. But much-discussed here.

You may be luckier.

I'm not aware of it being such an issue on the OG. There were lots of folk testing the OG after the iPhone 'bendgate' hype, and therefore some got lift that way.

I've had 2 with no screen lift, the 1st had reboot issues so returned it. 2nd is so far perfect.

Definitely worth the extra bit of money to me. I had the black and the red OG Passports, but the SE is by far my favorite. It's a bit thicker and better to type on. The little silver chin on the bottom makes it great to hold, and the keyboard to me is a bit better. I think the front face camera is also a little better hardware wise than the original Passport too.

But by reading in all the forums, it seems SE has some serious issues like screen lift, reboot,etc
SE looks really awesome and I feel like going for it, but just don't want to be in situation where I spend extra bucks to get a device with some issues
Since I would be ordering from BlackBerry store, hoping that it will not be the case.

No screen lift issue here. For peace of mind I ordered it from shopblackberry and opted for their protection plan. Happy camper since October 2015. Came from Z10, even tried to go back to my bold 9900 a couple weeks back. Needless to say that the passport wins on all fronts, except for the single hand typing which is not an issue for me since I rarely if ever type on the go. The capacitive pkb is the most ingenious feature. Sometimes I wonder if I shouldn't get a Classic as a backup phone when size really matters, when I'm going bike riding for instance.
