Just wondering if anyone has the Samsung note 4 and the Passport?
Have a note 3 (which I haven't used in months)... I prefer BlackBerry just because I'm much more productive overall throughout the dayy on this device. for entertainment I use my galaxy tab pro.

Depends on your preference of operating system.
I have a Passport, iPhone 6 and a OnePlus One and find myself using the OPO just cause I love Android.
The Passport is a beast though. All depends on what you're looking for and what you're going to be primarily doing on the phone.

Haha funny thing is I was wondering the same thing. I've been tempted to put my PP up for trade but I don't think I'd be happy with android. Curious what others are thinking.

I'm actually facing the same choice as well. I have a Note 3 and many blackberries and I have an upgrade coming up. I was leaning towards the Note 4 for the S-pen but then I realized how much I missed Blackberry (so I dug my Q10 out and started using it)
You can be insanely productive with both, it's all in how you work. I haven't decided yet, but I'm liking how unique the passport is.

I really enjoy my Passport but sometimes I miss some of the apps that require Google services. I don't think I'd use the stylus much so I don't know if it'd do me any good. Lol

Only you can really decide. If you have the opportunities to try both, you should. That being said, you won't be disappointed with the passport :)

According to road map, BB would be able to access app that use google services soon
I'm receiving my passport tomorrow. It's a very "different" phone. I'm very excited about it coming! As for the Note 3 and Note 4, they're pretty much the same phone. The screen size stayed the same. The resolution was improved and spec wise it may have received a bump, but honestly, not worthy of being a real "upgrade". If you want a Note, get the Note 3. You won't be able to tell the difference and it's a lot cheaper right now. I loved the size of the screen but when it came lugging it around it could get annoying. I'll always vote for the blackberry :)

There's a new video out which compares these 2 phones.

Curious to hear everyone's feedback as I'm sure many people are having these same questions.

If you enjoy bloatware, rooting, and touch wiz overlay then be my guest and go for Samsung. I wouldn't be surprise if you came back to BB10. Good luck on your Samsung journey though.
There's also the N6 to consider - which I think is a much more viable comparison to the PP. But that's just me - what are you looking for out of your phone (meaning what features/qualities do you value the most)?
I'm going with the Note 4, rooted with custom roms this thing should be flying through tasks. Also I love hand writing
That's a insider info
This is what I don't get about Android. Droid fan boys encourage rooting and adding custom rom to make their phone run better. In other words, what your are saying is that the phone was never good to start with. So after you buy your phone you would need to go home, do some research, and risk losing your warranty to modify your OS to make it run at optimal speed. What a pain the a**.
I've spend plenty of hours with hundreds of these ROMS and none of them shows any significant performance change at all. All I can say is Android is too fragmented and Google have no control of their hardware partners.
I don't get sideloading as well, lack of carrier support & deals, and putting up with so few models every few years. Basically you're stuck with what Blackberry offers you every year. And if you don't go for the new model, you're stuck with your phone for a few years. I don't get this either
yep you don't get it, did you ever ear leaks Os from Blackeberry servers, even ,there are plenty of official Os updates, my Z10,Q10 completely change on every Os upgrade
That's cool. I don't need a new phone every year. If a phone works I'd stick it out as long as I can. I bought my phone out right. I'm not looking for subsidies through carriers, I just want a phone that works out of the box for me just as it is intended. ;)
It's done to get otherwise impossible control over your phone. I. E remove all the bloat once and for all. Also it allows me to overclock the phone, limit app permissions and I'd course installing TBP.
The phone itself - knocking on wood - should be good but I don't like touch wiz, so I'm going to install another rom and a custom launcher.
Please, I'm not a fanboy of an os I'll buy what suits me the best. If the passport would have a removable battery, toolbelt and the option to go from bb10 to a more bb7 like os things would have been different.
But you're still saying the phone is not good. It's filled with bloatware that are unwanted junk apps that can't easily be removed. You need to overclock your phone because you feel that it's not fast enough. Apps are restricted and not all features aren't enabled. So unless you are capable of hacking into your phone to gain control, your phone would still be an average meh phone.
Also you hate Touch Wiz but did you know that Touch Wiz is Samsung's effort to make the OS interface better because they feel that the Google one is mediocre.
Well I guess I'm one of those crazy gadget people. I have both a Note 4 and a Passport and I use the Passport almost all the time while my Note 4 sits in the drawer. I am completely hooked on the Hub and how effective it makes getting through my four email accounts and numerous BBM's through out the day! Love this phone!
Posted with my super awesome BlackBerry Passport!!
One of the reasons I won't give up my passport for a Note 4, I really like the HUB feature.

Nexus 6 has no bloatware and is the pure android experience. So to those of you who are complaining about the need to root/run custom ROMs the point is mitigated by the nexus 6. Personally I think that its a better device than the Note 4, partially for that reason.
Had Notes 1-3, fun phone. I remember when I was carrying around the original Note all I heard at first was "what the heck is that? That's huge! How can you possibly put that in your pocket???"
Sound familiar??!!
Android OS / Note is fun but still nothing comes close to the Passport, at least for my work needs.

I picked up the Note4 when I switched from Sprint to AT&T, because Sprint doesn't truly unlock their phones, which left me with a Q10 that is now of no use to me. Unfortunately the Passport was still on backorder. My wife picked up an iPhone 5S because they would not onlock her 5. Ten days later my prize arrived. The Note4 is a good device, and I like the stylus; it even recognizes most of my handwriting, which is nearly miraculous. But it just isn't a BlackBerry. The Hub has no equal on other OS's. My wife decided she likes the Note better than the iPhone, so we turned that back in and she now enjoying the Note.
