The title says it all. I have to swipe two times to unlock the phone. I find it odd as my Z30 wakes up with a single swipe. Is it some kind of feature or something or its happening only in mine.

Also I would like to let you guys know that this is my second passport as I returned my first one. I observed the same in both the passports.

Seems to be a bug, happens to me too. After a reboot it works fine though.

Reboot never changed anything in my passport. It behaves the same. I even did a hard reset but it didn't make a difference.

Swipe to wake from the bottom left. It's almost like on the Passport swipe to wake was placed in what they thought would be the most common spot to swipe.

Edited to add: it also seems to work on the first try if you swipe slower with a bit of pressure.

Mine is giving me extra grief because the thick edge of the Zagg screen protector I just had installed keeps catching on my thumb. I wish it was a bit bigger.

Check your 'Swipe to Wake' setting in Display... it should be 'ON'...

Swipe to wake only works above certain keys. Was another thread dedicated to this.

On the AT&T model I don't even need to start from the bezel, I can start from about 1/2" from the bottom of the screen, and that works anywhere.

Someone in a previous thread mention if you try to swipe up from the middle it should work the first time. Something done by blackberry to limit it awaking accidentally in pockets or other situations. After I started trying that it has woke for me on every swipe.
