Remove and reinstall your sim card. Reboot phone. Maybe try the sim in another phone.

Thanks falbo, I've rebooted and been using the sim card in my z10.

Not sure why this is happening, I can see my mobile network (bell) as well as other services (like rogers)

Is your Passport factory-unlocked, or carrier-branded?

When and how did it suddenly stop working? Did you do an update or something?

I has been some time since it happen and I really don't remember. I don't recall any updating or changing setting then, I have since then to try to.. well I don't know, something.

I was thinking of doing a factory reset.

sounds like an OS crash. I get the feeling your going to end up using a autoloader for a full reflash.

Many service providers have updated their towers to bands that the Blackberry Passport cannot connect to. I have T-Mobile and many places outside N.Y.C. I have No Service-Emergency Calls only.

Don't bother trying new sim cards or re-installing phone etc. Nothing will help the situation-believe me I've tried them all!!!

Could you be more specific? Are you getting a red X, emergency calls only, or ful, bars with no service?

You've got the dreaded emergency calls only hardware failure. It's a known defect that eventually affects all passports. No known fix. Do a search, it has affected a lot of passport users. Mine died almost two summers ago. Wife's is on the way out.

Neither. The problem is a design defect in the motherboard, and once it crops up, that phone is dead (as far as mobile calls/networking goes). You can replace the phone, of course, but it's likely that every PP will eventually have this failure if used long enough.

I know people who have a Passport since many years and never faced this problem. Go ahead and enjoy your PP till it works. Forget about the crows....
