    I'd have to say yes.

It doesn't necessarily do MORE than other BlackBerrys, it just does things better.

Well for me it became increasingly addictive since the bigger screen helps me do a lot of tasks I would normally perform on my laptop. Now I only use the laptop when I have some really serious stuff to do (at home, at the office I mainly use the computer). This is why I now really enjoy my PP even if at first I was a bit skeptical that I would get used the to the size.

Nope. That title goes to the Palm Pre. WebOS was awesome, and still to this date has the best multitasking I have ever seen. The Passport is 2nd though. I'd want to include a slew of Android phones for 2nd place, but it was an addiction I didn't like. I was always rooting them to get them to run stable, or looking for a bunch of apps to make the OS complete or make the UI better. I never succeeded.

Addictive in terms of spending most time with it? Clearly no.

Thinking back at using an Ericsson GH 370 or the first Nokia Communicator I spent considerably more in terms of time because those devices were slow and buggy. Even my first Android devices were more "addictive" as I permanently installed some custom ROMs.

However, the passport is the best smartphone I have used so far. It simply works and I don't have to fiddle around.

Back in the day, when it was the ****. I'd spend hours flipping it open.

That was the coolest thing that phone did though.

after having the passport for a few weeks the honeymoon period is over and it feels like any other BlackBerry I've owned, but still more strangely addictive for whatever reason.

I must say that the first ever truly addictive phone I owned was the Nokia 3310, lolz.

The first truly addictive smartphone for me is the Z10. Never owned an iPhone or Android or windows phone.

What you are referring to sounds like addiction to apps not phone. Addiction to phone means using it. using apps on it is using it but it is not using the phone straight out of the box for what it can do.

Nope, most addictive would probably be my first iPhone 3g and my introduction to the app store after using dumb phones for years. After that, probably my first Galaxy Note, just for all the customizability it offered - the Passport would be the 3rd most addictive phone - could be fighting for the top 2 spots if it had a decent app store and/or if the majority of android apps/games worked on, but I'm finding the success rate of Android apps to be around 50-60% right now.

Probably the most addictive phone for browsing the internet though - love the wide web pages - now if only the browser didn't lag all over the place when quickly tabbing between sites and opening up new tabs.
