Can anyone advise if the passport supports VoLTE capability?
I believe that Snapdragon 801 (which drives Passport) supports VoLTE . . . but I need a pair of Passport phones to confirm if Passport is capable of VoLTE voice communication.

Correct (as long as you don't count the CDMA Z30s' CDMA bands)

Right. This model of the Passport is comparable to the Z30 STA100-2. The right-most column is supposed to compare the Passport models to other comparable BB10 phones. I should have explained that better, so I'll work on that.
Nice. This was one of my doubts as I live in Brazil. I know we have the same band as UK carriers. That's why I have a z30 STA 100-2 too. So, the passport is working everywhere, right? That's awesome! Really!

Right. Everywhere a STA100-2 works, the Passport will work.

Hey Raino, I saw in the one of the leak threads a screenshot of the Passport autoloader and it had sqw-100 1-2-3 at the top. Have you seen or anything about the latter 2 models anywhere?

Nothing official (and by 'official,' I mean outside of OS sightings.) The last listings showing up through the FCC are the Porsche phones.

Is that an official BlackBerry list or who made it?

    Thanks in advance.

I wish BB had an official list, I wouldn't have to make these threads then! But when I make these threads, for the phones' bands, I try to stick to official-type sources: BB's product pages, FCC certification documents, etc.

Yes, it will. But are you two aware that AT&T has picked up this phone for distribution? Just an FYI in case buying through them is cheaper for you guys. It might be a while before they start selling it, though.

I have added a Dropbox link now. If that still doesn't work, maybe it's an app permissions thing? FWIW, I made this thread from a computer, so I'm not sure if that has something to do with the image not loading in CB10.
    Q1 2015 maybe they say...

I read you are using a BB passport on the T-Mobile network how's that working out? Can you fill me in. I have a 9900, and usually I buy a new phone before the contract its done (less than 2 years) but now that blackberry no longer support T-Mobile I'm stuck. I am thinking of switching carriers to Verizon or att. But if the passport works well on T-Mobile I 'll stay with them.

I'm using a BlackBerry Passport on T-Mobile and only loss for me is wifi calling. Otherwise just popped in SIM and started using it.

    What could this mean?

Raino, I did a search and couldn't find out which SQW models were compatible with which radios, it appears the SQW100-1 is the only model currently out there? (though I did find a thread stating that the SQW100-2 was potentially the EMEA model?

Any ideas on whether the SQW100-3 could possibly be the CDMA variant?

    SQW100-3

It appears to have a release date of January 2015, though no CDMA cell bands are listed... curious isn't it?

    SQW100-3 from pdadb

Edit: who uses TD-LTE? Is that what EMEA uses? or is that APAC?

I don't understand why CDMA is of such pointed interest inasmuch as the BB Ppt is going to come out as exclusive to ATT USA which runs on GSM & not CDMA ...unless a dual radio version would be on the horizon ...I don't see to what end...

Thurask thought that this is likely the AT&T variant of the Passport. The CDMA variant might have been the -2 then.

A lot of places/countries. Mainland China is probably the biggest TD-only market. A couple of Indian carriers use a TD band as well, as do other APAC countries. Saudi Arabia has commercial 2600 MHz networks on the TD band, because apparently the military uses band 7. Some Brazilian carriers use it too, and technically so does Sprint (same band as the Chinese,) but they ain't getting a phone. I think Africa might have some carriers using TD-LTE as well, but I haven't checked in a while

I'm a former blackberry user and want to ditch this other phone that i switched to 2 years ago. I don't know how to go about doing this. I'm with Sprint and am glad they don't support this phone! I really like T Mobil and am curious how I can do this. They don't offer the phone and as of today, AT&T still isn't. So no deals on purchase price I am guessing. I am looking at getting one on Amazon and bringing it to a TMobile store for a sim card? The personnel in the local T mobile stores are kind of non-genius types. Suggestions?

Hey, not sure if anyone updated you. I'm from Trinidad and Tobago. I'm on Digicel Network (GSM). I bought the SQW100-1 from Amazon and shipped it here.

It works great, both Voice and Data.

    AT&T's networks

    I think these bands are definitely in: UMTS 850, 1900, LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 7.

I think these bands are most likely out: UMTS 1700, LTE band 13.

The rest are still up in the air. I haven't seen anything new go through the FCC yet. I wouldn't be surprised if this phone has bands like the SQN100-1.

Never would have guessed AT&T's network...

Haha I'm hoping to maybe get the rounded passport for Rogers or Bell, will keep an eye out. Thanks.

Thurask, in a different thread/post (linked to above,) thinks that the -3 might have all the bands as the -1. Personally, I'm not so trusting of AT&T. Regardless, there's quite some overlap between AT&T's frequencies and Rogers'/Bell's: UMTS 850, 1900, LTE 4 and 17. Band 7 may or may not be in there, but AT&T doesn't have a reason to take it out (like UMTS 1700, which they would take out to deter TMO buyers.)
