How do I check the manufacture date on my new passport? Is it somewhere in the box or is it in settings?

See the side of the box. Above "MADE IN XXXX".

Yea should be on the outside box.
I think it was 6 numbers long and might be shown as: yymmdd
I just remember mine said that it was manufactured in Mexico 6.

Edit: the correct date format is: ddmmyy

I just pulled out my box, it is indeed ddmmyy.
My white Passport was produced 190115 but I bought it from shopblackberry last month. My Passport doesn't seem to be very 'fresh'.

I assume that you have not experienced any problems with it?

Nope, no hardware issues from what I can see.

The date on the box is when it was put in the box. My impression is BlackBerry ships the devices to the distributors like digitalriver and the distributor then boxes it with the region specific items.

We saw this with the PlayBook, long after they stopped making them. When the clearance sale started , some of the box dates were very recent to when they were shipped to the customer.

The passport I have coming to Argentina (currently with friend in U.S.) has a # of 161214 on the box. December 16th 2014. Just bought it from Amazon. I had my friend inspect the phone physically as best as possible. Appears to be brand new. I had her charge it and told her to keep a close eye on the battery. Anything else I should be checking while I still have a chance to return it if there are any defects? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
