My provider (Vodafone The Netherlands) will upgrade from 4G to 4G+ (Also called LTE-Advanced) in October.

Ik was wondering if anyone could tell me if the BlackBerry Passport will support this. The full specs leaked out a couple of days ago but that didn't made me any wiser.

Vodafone stated that there are currently no mobile devices that support it but the first ones will be released later this year.

    Hope you guys can help!

    Thank a lot.

I think you should be looking at the frequency

According to GSM arena spec sheet for the Passport it should support the following frequencies: 4G Network LTE 850 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 and LTE 700/800/850/900/1700/1800/1900/2100/2600

That's the thing. I can't make anything out of that;(

You mean in terms of the new 800 chip that can be found in the Passport or do you mean the latest and greats Snapdragon chips that the Passport doesn't have?

I see, thanks! But I don't understand why Vodafone stated that there are no existing devices at the moment that support it. There are already devices in the stores with the 800 processor right?

Your carrier isn't offering anything ground breaking. A Q10 SQN-3 and Z30 STA 100-5 are the fastest Blackberries and use the fastest LTE available. Some other phones do use LTE 2600 mhz.

My Q10 uses LTE 2600 mhz since last year when Rogers was one of the first anywhere to offer those speeds (amazing by the way!)

The Passport should really be able to support the fashion speed your carrier will offer.

Yeah, when the Galaxy S4 was released with the Snapdragon 600 in the states, they released an LTE-A variant in South Korea with a Snapdragon 800, so the S800 definitely supports it.

This is freaking me out. Verizon's LTE bands are listed (700MHz, 1700MHz) but no Passport specs including basic CDMA bands has shown up.
