Well, BlackBerry must be doing something right: the listings on toronto.kijiji.ca for Passport devices has a number of them listed at $550 Canadian.

Now, if you're not familiar with Kijiji, it's ebay's free classifieds website, and I find it to be one of the best benchmarks for the value of, well, anything: prices are usually a LITTLE higher than the item will actually sell for, but not grossly (it's pointless to post item prices that are way too high: there is too much competition and your ad will just be overlooked).

I sold my Passport months ago (when the Slider was announced) for $400 (listed at $430) because I just wanted "out", and didn't want to wait weeks for it to sell (it sold pretty darn quick, too)... but the fact that there are still listings over $500 CDN says something "real" about the value of recent BlackBerry devices IMHO.

    Noone uses kijiji in Vancouver.

But on Craigslist, they're about the $500 range. Pretty pricey.

Here in Montreal I see some under 400 once in a while with a broken screen, but they're usually listed between 450-600.

I think passports are still sold at an high price because there's not a lot of offers, since there's not that much of them in circulation.

Iphones usually keep a high resale value because there's a crazy demand.

You can find them in Toronto area for 400 BNIB. Ads are always higher then selling price but why not see what you can get. Still good value though.

The OP did address this. Outliers are usually pretty easy to spot. If they are all going for a price in a certain range, that's probably within 10%-15% of the actual sale value.

I sold my black on Kijiji Canada for $515 full box and accessories. Mine was from shop berry and in 10/10 condition. Had about 8 offers for 450, finally got full asking price and it only took a day. This was 4 weeks ago.

Prices in the Toronto appear to be settling around the $450-$500. I have seen a couple of Silver Editions with asking prices of $650 and one way the hell out at $800.

450$ Ish seems like the going rate right now for a mint legit passport. I've seen some lower and some higher. The lower priced ones are usually carrier locked, not in good shape and have no receipt.

You guys are paying too much. Amazon has passports for 350 and with warranty. And if you don't like it, you can return it. $500 in california?! That's ridiculous . If you're paying more than 350 for a passport...you're paying too much.
