That is a shame because many with physical challenges could use that & other gestures from the keyboard capacitive feature obviously underdeveloped... I wish I were able to code & create an app giving a whole feature set to gestures on the keyboard...

Does anyone know of a way to PASTE text with the keyboard, rather than having to put my fat finger on the screen where I want it to be pasted? I know how to COPY or CUT paste with the keyboard/shift key, etc, and I know that the little paste icon will pop up on the screen the next place the cursor lands after you COPY or CUT it, but many times I need to paste the text in other places, so I move the cursor to those more complicated places and then the paste icon doesnt come up anymore. Anybody know of a way to hit a button on the keyboard to bring up the paste icon (or just paste it in without the paste icon) so I can paste the text in without messing with my fingers on the screen? thanks!!!!!

After reading this comment, I thought there may be a way.

Hi quikchip!

I think copying the text using the KEYBOARD after highlighting it is not necessary. Because once you lift your finger after highlighting the text, the icons to Cut, Copy, Paste, etc will appear immediately. You just have to move your finger several millimeters to touch the Copy icon.

Yes you can!

While in the Hub, just touch the Triage icon on the right upper corner of the screen. It looks like a small check mark with 3 horizontal lines. With that you can just touch the Delete icon for any message, email, or notification in the Hub.

Thanks for your reply. I actually got what I needed somewhere else and was about to come here to delete my post.

Anyone know how to close an app directly with a keyboard shortcut or any other means? I don't like having to minimize then hit the microscopic "x" on the active frame. I'd like to be able to close the app directly from inside the app.

Another useful one is to keep the Shift button pressed and the selection bubble appears. I tend to use it in-conjunction with double tap on the keyboard.

YES! i too was absolutely shocked by this. It's unbelievable, you would think it would be so intuitive anyone would think of doing it. I gave my phone to my brother to play with (he has never touched this device before), he automatically assumed he would be able to swipe through the home screens using the keyboard only to find disappointment.

Also why is there no 'cursor' option while you are using the web browser? also why is there no option to change scroll speed setting? so many missed opportunities by blackberry its unbelievable...

The track pad function is really a unique feature on top of the beloved keyboard. But as you all mentioned, there is big space for improvement. Can't swipe between Apps pages?! Are you kidding me, Mr. Chen?! I could accept the swiping feature doesn't work in many 3rd party Android Apps, but definitely not for your own OS, hmmm, BB need to hire much more programmers. Meanwhile I am happy with Passport, I will look forward to new updates coming for the track pad. Cheers!

Glad I decided to see if anyone else was having this problem. I went from a 9370 to Z30 and had to learn how to use a stylus. It was great and I didn't miss the swollen fingertips from typing on that miserable keyboard. Now I have the Passport and I'm holding the stylus and trying to type at the same time...I look ridiculous. Glad it gets easier because I have a Windows Phone and 2 Androids for development and use them simultaneously without issue. Anyway, thanks for sharing and helping the rest of us.

Naah it's 10.3.2 feature. It's not there for long. I haven't installed the latest leak as I find the current one quite stable. I guess it's a good future tip when it becomes part of the OTA.
