    For the Passport keyboard, do you need to depress the letter buttons on the keyboard, or can you simply tap them, as the keys are capacitive now?

    I was thinking of the SE but I can't imagine it's different for the black.

    The last BB keyboard I had was the Q10 and I wasn't a super fan of it.

    The keys are capacitive, though you still need to press them for typing.

    You can use the capacitive touch capabilities for gestures, similar to the virtual keyboard on full-touch devices:

    - You can swipe across the keyboard to delete words
    - You can swipe up recommended words (the keyboard is divided into three zones, and a word appears above each zone on the screen. You swipe up across the physical keys to choose the word)
    - You can swipe down on the keyboard to bring up additional characters/symbols, same as you would on the full-touch virtual keyboards

    It really is the best of both worlds. Though you should expect a week or so of adjustment, since you won't be used to the three row keyboard. Once you adjust... it's very efficient. Easily the best physical keyboard typing experience if you give it a chance. The keys are great in comparison to the Q10... they have a much better feel.

    Thank you for the clarification, BrizzadMan! I'm going to give it a try- the prices are too good to pass up.

    Yep. Are you coming from a Q10?

    Q10 -> Z30 -> Leap -> (probably a Passport)

    Let me correct that for you:

    Q10 -> Z30 -> Leap -> Passport Silver Edition

    But if you like the "black look"

    Q10 -> Z30 -> Leap -> Passport in black

    I do so and I changed back from SE to OG. It looks cooler for me
