Passport price in Indonesia is 9,6 million IDR or around $800. Yes, there are some discount programs but it has some requirements. The lowest price with discount as far as I know is 7,099 million IDR / around $590. With this pricing I'm not so sure about the sales.

I know, but I really don't get what BlackBerry is trying to do with the pricing. They don't seem like expecting any sales from emerging markets like Indonesia.

My point is as has been noted before BlackBerry isn't the only factor in pricing. Taxes and such are. It's going against the note 4 in pricing and people will buy those.
The good thing is it isn't overproduced so if they don't sell much it doesn't really hurt them at this point. Of course it pays to sell more
