Okay, so I thought I wouldn't get my spiffy new phone till next week since I got it ordered online at the AT&T site, but I came home from classes to a very nice surprise!

Some horribly shot pictures.







I was super surprised to see that it could fit in my pocket! I just slid it in and boom!



I'm an extremely tiny woman, about 4'9", but the device doesn't feel huge at all. It's surprisingly light, but solid. I just turned it on, but I'm about to run an autoloader on it.

My niece, on the other hand... Let's just say she's still overwhelmed by it, haha.

I think I might have turned her, though. She did say she prefers the size of the Classic.

Anyways, time to either trade in the ol' Zed or give it to some relatives in Vietnam.

It feels really nice. Size is definitely gonna take some getting used to. As for keyboard... Well, I think it feels great to be back on an actual keyboard, personally. Typing doesn't seem like a problem, since I can reach the keys easily. Definitely two-handed compared to the ease of one-handed use of my Z10, but I type two-handed on the Zed anyways.

Thanks. I'm probably gonna miss using the Zed, at least at first, but now it seems so...tiny when I try to type.

I do have a minor issue, though. The phone doesn't seem to recognize the SIM card... is this common? I ordered it online on the AT&T website. I would take a screenshot on the actual phone, but I'm about to run the latest OS autoloader on it, so forgive the horrible quality.

I've been reading these threads about the size of the Passport since it's release. Bought mine in November. Interestingly enough, my significant other was using the Z30 and expressed interest in the Passport. She used my Passport at every opportunity and the the size wasn't an issue for her. I finally got her one in March of this year.

I watch her use her Passport to see if the size is overwhelming or burdensome. I must admit that perhaps wanting to use the device or watching me use it for four months gave her an advantage. But she wields it with no issues at all. She has small hands and mostly uses the device with both. She loves it and is unwilling to even consider another phone.

As for the sim card, a simple call to AT&T will solve your issue quickly.

If you really wanted to use your new phone. You can just trim up your Sim card so it will fit. Just make sure you trim it correctly

I am already using it. It already had a SIM card in it. I just rather update it via autoloader first before actually using it at the time of when I first made the OP.

Although now I seem to be having a signal (really good signal), and yet I have not called AT&T at all...

Check if the SIM card is properly in place. Some people put the SIM outside of the SIM slot. If the SIM is in correctly, press on it and it will pop out easily.
BTW, it's very likely that I'm the relative you mentioned

Yep! I took it out and popped it back in a few times to make sure the card was in right like the poster above you mentioned. I'm still getting a signal, so maybe it just needed a bit of time to get going?

Haha, thanks. Tiny woman, big phone. Just gotta wipe it down once in a while so grease and sweat won't build up. I just wish AT&T had them in red so it could really pop!

I'm cleaning off my SE Passport all the time. It's just so cool looking and so professional, that I don't want it to look dirty.
Nothing worse than a dirty Passport.
