Here. I'm a little hesitant as I love hitting the alt key when needed. Another row wouldn't have made the Passport much taller either

    Absolutely. Full QWERTY, touch enabled.

Having a P'9983 and a Passport as my two devices, I basically want the two of them to have a baby. 9983's design, midway size between the two, with full touch QWERTY.

I'd ask for resistive pen support now that OneNote works on BB10 (10.3.1 leaks).
But... one miracle at a time.

At first when i got the passport i may have agreed. Now however getting used to its touch enabled capabilities, i understand what blackberry is doing here. The muscle memory instinct to hit alt gets replaced by a swipe down gesture. Like anything new, you just have to get used to it.

I like the three row qwerty. The virtual row above actually makes my typing quicker with exclamation and question marks only being one click instead of two away. I had a 9900 with standard 4 rows for 3 yrs. I prefer The PP.

No. I appreciate the three-row/virtual pairing. It seems really well done.

The full keyboard anyday. The ease of entering numbers and special characters. Is just too convenient.

I would suggest to BlackBerry Passport 2 should come with switch able keyboard.

For example passport 1 keyboard , full qwerty, touch style screen portion.
BlackBerry Assistant need extremely word recognition.
    I may sound 2020.

I would like to see one. I hate that virtual shift key on my Passport. Often it lags resulting either in no action at all or it capitalises two letters at once. So annoying, never happened with the physical shift key on my Q.

You do know that you can just hold the letter you want capitalized for 2 seconds and it will auto-capitalize it, right? No need to hit a second key at all.

Why are people still going back to the old days? The keyboard on the Passport is great (and I have been a full touch fan). The old small keyboard was crap and difficult to use.

No way! It would reduce the screen space and I like the hybrid effect of the current three row effect where the 4th row pops up based on stuff you are doing!

Yes I know that but holding down the key really slows down the typing experience, especially when typing german where you already have to keep keys pressed often to insert any Umlaute

You totally get used to it and can be quick with it, whether or not you prefer it. The Passport is an amazing phone, and the 3-row+virtual is done very well.

For many of us, though, there will never be anything better than the classic 4-row BB QWERTY *except* a 4-row that is touch enabled

To address another commenter, just because we want 4 rows doesn't mean we prefer a much smaller keyboard like the Q5/Q10. For us, the Passport with another row would be excellent.

I would love to see it with a full qwerty keyboard. I am not complaining about the keyboard now but I think people could me more efficient in getting work done keep the same size of the current Passport just reduce the size of the screen a bit for the fourth row.
