I had some flickering on 2072 when I was recording and watching videos. Also happened when I was on the settings menu randomly, but I havent been able to replicate it so far after loading 2243.

Does anyone have a sure fire way to make the flicker appear?

Ive read that its still a problem even on 2243 but I havent seen it on mine yet.

I downgraded to 1955. Haven't had any flickering yet. In previous leaks it was hit or miss for me. Videos, Camera and CB app.

All the complaining but yet no one wants to actually analyse the problem....

Hard to analyse, for me anyway. Was fairly frequent on official OS, much less so since loading 2072 and not got a way to make it happen. Only occurred three or four times now in two weeks

I had 2243 on my Passport for about 2 days and NO flickering, but then watched a full movie (1 hr and 45 minutes) streaming DLNA to my TV. Immediately after the movie ended, I picked up the phone and tapped the Blackberry World icon to check something out and there it was again. Flickering like crazy and would not go away--had to reboot the device. I was disappointed to say the least. I am nearly convinced that Blackberry has a big problem with this. They have had lots of time to investigate and repair this problem but have not done so as of yet. Is there something fundamentally wrong with the OS----or the hardware?? And is it even fixable?--I am not sure. I can live with the problem and it does seem less bothersome than it did with the original and subsequent OS leaks but the fact that thru 2-3 leaks now (I have used all of them) the problem remains is worrisome.

I'm running 2072 on mine and it's hit and miss. Haven't seen any for a couple days now and when it does happen there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for it. I've had it happen in several apps, camera, etc. I agree the fact that it continues to be an issue concerns me. Hopefully they will get it worked out in coming releases.

This is the problem, I also have .2072 and have no flickering at all.

The issue is so random that we need to try and find how the flickering Passports differ from the non flickering ones.

Is it build date, installed apps, etc etc.

Quite how we go about this I am not sure, but to my mind it's the only way we can begin to get to the bottom of why some do and some don't.

Unfortunately, this happens on my wife's PP so I can't investigate. She just tells me it is happening, I saw it in 2072 and she showed it to me. In the newer one I have not seen it myself but she said after 2 days it is doing it again. not as frequent as 2072 though.

As far as has been reported, users have had intermittent problems with flickering screen on all recent versions of 10.3.1.

Some are getting it more than others. It maybe has something to do with particular apps run in a particular sequence?

There was one build where I only experienced it a few times over the course of a month... can't remember which build that was though, sorry.

    I'm testing now.
I've read somewhere someone mentioned installing 1055 radio on the 2072.
So, I did that. And yet flickering happens again. But this time less than before.

And then, last few days I had issue with network receptions on both WiFi and network.
So, I reinstalled 2073 radio autoloader figuring who knows if the 1055 radio could be the culprit (which I'm pretty sure wasn't). So, I reinstall the radio.

And since then, I had no issue with flickering or network issue.

A friend of mine installed 2072 a week or so ago and told me that her phone flickers even more frequent than before.
So, being a good friend to her, I replicate same 1055 radio install and then after the auto reboot, I reinstall 2073 radio autoloader.

We'll see if this method could cure the flickering issue.
If it works, I'll let U guys now. Probably wait for a few days and if my friend didn't report any flickering issue anymore, I'll let U guys know.

It's no harm to try it yourself. Share us the finding.

On 10.3.0 no flickering experienced on my passport. But, all leaks installed, flickering is present on random apps. I don't use heavy applications, I'm only using CB, whatsapp, emails and few times on facebook. But flickers seem to have vanished when I used .2072 OS+1156 radio.

So looks like passport is getting 10.3.1.2243 not. 2267

    https://www.ptcrb.com/vendor/complet...?modelid=25955

So far we have not seen how the full autoloader 2243 OS deal with flickering.

Ive read that on the most recent autoloader full 2267 OS leak the flicker is still there.

Im running on PassportSQW100-1/10.3.1.2243 but I loaded the core and radio on top of .2072 which is not the complete OS plus apps and debrick.

So there's still a pinch of hope.

If anything, this is a good test of how effective (or not) BlackBerry's pre-release testing is.

If it does slip through, oh dear.

I managed to download all the Passport OS files that were briefly on Sachesi with a French Carrier before they were pulled.

I loaded it with Sachesi and it was horrible, poor signal and ate battery.

Replaced the Radio with .2073 and added the updated apps from .1955 and it is now running great.

No flicker, but I never had it on .2072 and only on a couple of occasions with .1154.

i'm still running. 1154 because for over a month now it has been quite solid and I decided to wait for the official update.

however: in the past 2 days screen flicker has become a problem. it doesnt seem tied to any particular app, it has happened with several, seemingly at random, and while i've removed some (insta10, instagram) I havent added any new ones.

    I tried 2 hard resets and 2 soft reboots...still a problem....but why now!?!

I have removed radio files and reinstalled others and with all the testing and combinations of OS and radio I am concluding that the flickering has NOTHING to do with the radio file. I will go out on a limb right now by saying that this problem will not be solved with the release of .2243 or .2267 on the Passport

I rolled my Passport back to the latest 10.3.0. Will wait and see what the release looks like but im betting it doesnt get solved either. Will have to wait and see.

Am on 10.3.1.1955 since 3 days.. I can only say that the OS is quite stable, fast, and no flickering at all. Battery life is amazing. Out of the box, the device had 10.3.0.908, and I updated to 10.3.1.1955 via sachesi..

I noticed the flickering as well... not sure what causes it, but it's happened a few times. A reboot fixed it every time. I'm sure the official won't have this bug, there's no way they could miss it...
