What is the Passport's charger rated at?

Can I use my z10's charger (800mah) or my rapid charger (1800mah)?

I plugged in the phone using the passport charger for the first time yesterday and I got a msg saying I should use a different charger lol used my playbook charger and all was good again.

Weird that the charger that came with the passport is having an issue?

I have a 2.1A BlackBerry Premium car charger and a 2.1A AC charger as well. Both work very well (and very fast!) on the Passport; it can sustain nearly the entire wattage delivery of the charger for most of the charge cycle, which is materially better (by about 20-30%) than earlier devices.

Nutting over 800mhz should be fine or it will charge slower than molasses!

There's no problem to use a higher rated charger --- the Passport won't pull current any higher than it can take.

Note that the genuine Passport charger is also sold separately. Here's a box shot:

Crakberry offered a 750 mA charger on sale last week. I ordered it and when it arrived, the sticker on the plastic bag said 850mA.

I've been using my Z10 charger and there has been no message and no problem. And it even charges fast!

I have a BlackBerry Premium car charger with dual 2.1A outputs -- I have seen charge rates in excess of 6 watts on it with the Passport. My wall charger, also rated 2A, charges at slightly less but it has a thinner and longer cord.

The North American passport charger is rated at 1300 mah, according to the adapter, just like the UK charger that others have reported. I couldn't see it at first. Turned out I needed new glasses.
