Mine takes alittle over 2 hours to charge. Im quite happy with it.

He said it's no problem charging overnight when he's asleep but it's frustrating during the day. My question: if he's charging overnight, what's he doing to run out of juice during the day?

I don't get why people are so frustrated. By far this has been one of the most fair reviews of a BlackBerry product in years. There are some things he misses but so would anyone trying out a new phone, new OS, etc.
What I really like is that he says he doesn't miss his iOS which was his primary phone but rather Android and even then its only for a couple of apps. Just tells you how good the PassPort really is.
True that.
It's easy to pick on Blackberry. If it was an Android phone would he have made a video saying Samsung Galaxy took him 2.5 hours to charge and it's one of things he hate about his phone?
I would like him to say that he hates the Samsung charging in one of his review videos and lets see what Fandroids have to say.
Am I missing something? I am often running multiple apps. I use tunein radio while texting, bbm and social media. I believe you have to close apps on iphone and android before opening another. That alone is a game breaker.
You don't have to close apps on either of those. At the end of the day though, I still feel that BlackBerry is king of multitasking
They rather give there personal information to Google instead so they can sell it to advertisers. I'm sure if people took the time to read the terms when they sign up, nobody would use Google services.

Yes I agree with what your saying. I think why people are frustrated with these kinds of review is because the people reviewing the phone clearly don't get the right information through. Blackberry markets these phones as business phones, this position is very clear on Blackberry's part. Yet people still do reviews on this phone based on consumer oriented uses like Google services and instagram and so on leaving out of their reviews what makes the phone great for productivity. I think that's why people are frustrated a little bit with these reviews.

Er charging can always be faster. But topping up is always good. Quit trying to kid people your mobile I've never seen him standing up get a charge matt.
His photos are terrible, if you hear this guy say I'm going to take a photo, take his phone away. Here's an interesting photo I took of a tape measure out of focus off centre, no wonder he can't find anyone to talk to on BBM. This is the kind of guy that drives people nuts on facebook.
I suggest an eye test.
+ Where he lives is famous for woolly knits and mass produced snack food and farming so not your typical blackberry users social circle.
2 hands or 1 of course 1 is going to be slower durh, and he likes 2. Lets hope he doesn't defend himself in court.
Keyboard I can see he has fingers and I have fingers, ok I got a real deft touch, bows round of applause flowers at my feet, I'm going super fast and typing my fastest speeds ever on this thing with the predictive text that finally does what it was always mean't to do.
Perhaps he's just spending too much time bounding around on his fists like a chimp in an effort to entertain his 2 kids, which has got to be miles better than viewing his photo collection as a form of entertainment.
Its reassuring that this is the kind of guy google are mining for behaviours, shopping habits and intellectual insight. He's so hooked into pointless time wasting, he probably wants a video of his parcel in transit.
BBM Hang outs I don't know too much about either, But I don't get any messages of people sending me photo's of their dinner while I'm at work
That made me laugh a lot thanks for the post.

Agreed
Two points:
- I'm interested to see his follow on video blog
- Needs to put his usage into slightly more context - eg he is probably not the PassPort target audience
In summary: a very fair review, but would like to know a little bit more about the things he loves about the Passport
He sounds fair and reasonable on most of his points.
I enjoyed the this review.

Just got my sister and brother to sign on with BBM. He's on Windows and she's on an iPhone. The wife still has an Android (until I get my Z30 transferred over to my red Passport) and I'm guessing my other brother's and sisters also have Androids. My father has a Q10, but my mom has an Android (which she hates using). So, once the entire family gets on BBM, it will be much easier than our current method of messages through SMS.
The problem with the Windows version of BlackBerry Messenger is that it's fairly low quality. Sign in doesn't always work for me, or it will work but all contacts will be gone, etc. Android and iOS versions of BlackBerry Messenger seem fine though.
I'm sure it is still better than a grouped SMS.
My brother seems to have figured it out enough to change his username and add a picture. My sister? Still struggling on her iPhone.
Roughly, I believe that 80% charge is around 40 minutes ... and will deliver 1.5 days of usage. Something the reviewer may want to try, eventually. Other than that, I watched both video and found the guy to be pretty fair with the device and his experience. We need more like those reporters who clearly go in deep and don't copy/paste others comments. Kudos for that.
i was wondering that! the battery life on this thing is nothing short of heroic, and I've yet to run mine flat in a day, and I'm a pretty heavy user!
FWIW - Samsung's Note 4 has fast charging which can charge the device 50% in 30 minutes.
I honestly don't get all the hate...errrr "dislike" for this guy?
Only a BBRY fanboy could give a more favorable one, as an iPhone user who also loves his Android I don't think he could get much more favorable. I also don't get that point that every reviewer has to qualify this as an enterprise only device...its simply not. Its target market is as such but many consumers will love this phone, if I was in the non enterprise demographic this would be a nice review to see from the same perspective.
