Mine turned up today - very pleased.

When the phone is in the case there is some space between the side of the phone and the edge of the case (3 mm maybe) which I think will give a reasonable level of protection on the sides.

Would add that that having this leather case on the Passport makes it a lot easier to carry around and the service I received from the supplier was 1st class.
