Could anyone please clarify if a Blackberry passport from Canada would work in the UK. Looking at both blackberry websites (Canada and UK) the description on the specs look exactly the same and yet after talking to a few friends, they are suggesting it might not be compatible with UK carriers and a possibility of slight differences.

Anyone who has actually tried or is definitely sure, please advise. Thanks.

Passports work everywhere. I've got mine from BlackBerry shop Canada and has worked flawlessly (voice and LTE data) in Canada, US, Japan, Europe, Indonesia.

Depending on your carrier you might just need a local sim card to avoid any ridiculous roaming charges.

Not everywhere.... One carrier here in Per doesnt like to work in 4G, another works without problem

Bottom line, should be, but not 100% .

It will work fine here in the UK.
Get yourself a Micro SIM card from any of the carriers and it will work on 4G in most cities and towns.

It will work with EE, Orange, Vodafone, O2, gif gaff etc in UK for sure as long as you have an Unlocked passport.

All Passport devices are fitted with a nano sim card.

All Passports are the same in terms of the bands that they work on. Mine works everywhere. I don't blame you ordering from Canada, they are cheaper than in the UK.

I have a relative coming to UK from Canada, but I am not sure if BlackBerry UK will accommodate on the warranty, if a Canadian Passport was to go wrong, and they are not replying to my email. Will have to wait and see once I get through to them.
