So kind of you! Thank you!
By the way, double tapping the screen goes full screen...
Will you please try navigating to, say, 2 Nephi 32. How long does it take between screens? If you then go to 'music', hymns, and #200, how long does it take to get there? I believe bbworld is just an android port, and has less functionality, I believe. I used to use it a year ago.

Strange... I have the german version. The search is not comfortable. I struggeled to find "2 Nephi 32"!!!
It said not available in Archive, book, chaptes... I then played a bit... in fact the search engine is "dumb" it searches for a chain of words. So I found it almost instantly by writing "32. Kapitel" (chapter 32) as it is written in the script!!!

    Here what worked:

    Passport for Bible Study-img_20150227_055308.png

    (instantly found)

One click and I had it:

    Passport for Bible Study-img_20150227_055317.png

So may be just modify what you type in the search field, not necessarry the result you need. It took a little bit more time searching for "7. Kapitel" because there are more results, the search took about 2 full seconds...

Navigating... from Archive to Book to 2 Nephi to chapter 32 manually took less than one full second per move. I guess it is the quadcore of the passport that enables that. I see that it takes a bit time, but not "losing patience"... I cant compare.

Try clicking on the top left icon, that will take you to the library 'home', then music, then hymns, then scroll down to 200-ish. How long does that take? Takes me about a minute and a half...

Taking back this thread from the Mormons and returning it to weiberry, let's talk about his options.

I'm assuming the "wei" part of your handle is part of your name and probably Chinese. Though you said English isn't easy for you, you didn't specify what language was. Anyway, I have a number of Bible apps on my devices. I go mostly with Android versions, sometimes because of added features, but often because any notes can sync between devices.

The Bible app I use most often in church is Tecarta Bible. While most Bibles are English, there are Spanish and Chinese Bible versions available. Commentaries and devotionals are English. Paid resources are inexpensive.

Bible Study by Olivetree (already mentioned) has lots of English, original Greek, and original Hebrew Bibles and tools. There are Bibles in many European languages and some Asian languages. There are apps for the major tablet and phone OSes, plus Mac and PC. There are a lot of good free resources in English, Greek and Hebrew. The rest are paid and not necessarily cheap.

MySword (Android) may be your best bet. While most resources are English, there are quite a few Bibles in other languages, there is a Thai commentary, but the biggie is that there are language files for the UI. If you have used e-Sword on the PC, the layout is similar and there are similar resources. Much of what's available is free.

Both Logos and WordSearch have Android, iOS, Windows and Mac versions. The mobile versions basically take advantage of whatever computer version resources you own. If you don't own any of their stuff, it's not cheap to change that.

YouVersion -- Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Blackberry, Windows 8+ PC or web. If all you're looking for is a non-English, while the UI is in English, there are a ton of non-English Bible versions and it's easy to use. Totally free.

You are right. I am Chinese. Thank you for introducing so many useful resources! I only used YouVersion which works great in both Chinese and English. They don't support word search, though. This feature does come with some of those apps.

Installed the app for Bible Gateway and was impressed by the initial foray (I was unfamiliar with them before this), so will be looking further at that site.

One thing I like Passport is that it is like a computer. I found many useful website and add the bookmark to the homepage. Who needs an app?

Below are two dictionaries for Bible study:

YouVersion is the one I am using from the ages of 9700 to currently Passport. But after upgrading to 10.3.1, my plan(65% completed) isn't loading. It says it is fetching but never completes the action.
I had checked via web and the plan is still active. Just 10.3.1 is not fetching. Multiple restarts, reinstallation is not helping.
YouVersion support said she has escalated to dev team but gave a subtle hint that they are right now not keen in BB10 development. And she advised me to try Android version.

Anybody have similar problem or solutions find?

    Thanks

I purchased a Library Package from Logos a couple of years back and because of that package, I can download the free Logos Bible app from the Amazon App Store and access all of my materials from the app. It is a great app with lots of convenient search capabilities and other features.

Even if you don't have a library package, the free app still works great and you get access to quite a few different Bible versions.

Last Sunday, while attending a mass, the priest mentioned about Gospel, Luke 16:19-31. So then, I pulled out my BlackBerry Passport, open the Bible App to look for the verse when I saw the priest looking at me, just a little bit furious. I would like to tell him that I'm using my Passport to see and read the Bible verse he mentioned but I guess it wouldn't change his perception. So, I returned my Passport back to my jacket...

Lol, I always get those looks from my wife. Somehow she has a perception that electronics are big no no at Church.

Yet I use YouVersion to read Bible, Evernote to take notes and Parrot to record sermons.

Good point. I also use Parrot to record sermons or Bible study. A few years ago I bought a Playbook to my Pastor to record video. He uses that a lot and still like it.

I've been using the Android version of YouVersion on my Passport, because it seems to work better. Or it did, until I installed the recent OS update (.2582). Since then, YouVersion won't open at all, and even the icon doesn't appear. Instead of an icon, I just get a dark squarish shape, with the caption "Bible." I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times, with no success.

The BBWorld version works, except for its known bugs, such as inability to scroll through longer text notes.

I don't expect anyone to know how to fix this. Maybe it'll work in a future OS update. I just thought I'd mention it to see if anyone else is having the same problem.

I have the same issue with the android version. It began when I updated the app, not when I installed the new OS.
