Then wouldn't some of it's unique features go away? Then it's not a revolutionary device anymore. It's just a shorter wider touch device.

The most significant things that make the passport special are the square screen and the touch keyboard.

The wideness of the phone would still make it more ideal for reading, both vertically and horizontally
Can't think of any other benefits, as I'm not a touch screen person... hence why I got the Passport!

The idea of having a full touch screen Passport is actually not a bad idea especially for those who are more fond of reading...

Uh...no. Leap is not the same size, nor is it anywhere near as powerful, nor does it have the same features as the Passport.

Some people would want this, and some maybe would ask for a slide out pkb.

If it's supported in the ROM community, I might just get one

It would still be the size of a passport.

I think it's a great idea, media would be good.

I would buy one without hesitation. I think the touch-sensitive keyboard on the Passport is really cool but I still much prefer the virtual BB10 keyboard to the physical one after almost five months with the Passport. I love the wider screen but the square aspect ratio isn't ideal for me.

Honestly I think a full-touch Passport would be the ideal device for me.

An all touch should be an alternative choice and not a replacement to the Passport similar to iPhone and iPhone+. The BlackBerry All Touch should be an alternative to those who could do without a physical keyboard and wants all the benefits of a virtual one.

    Benefits of a Virtual Keyboard:
    1. Double typing issue? Gone.
    2. International alphabets? Download it.
    3. One handed typing? Move your vkb anywhere and resize it.
    4. Prefer a specific keyboard? Switch between classic, passport, Z30, swype, and dvorak.
    5. Annoying clicky sounds? No more.
    6. Finger and joint fatigue? Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? Less likely.

    Passport = Wide
    Passport All Touch = Wider
    1. Better viewing of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    2. X-rays, Blueprints, Drawings, etc. will benefit from the added real estate.
    3. Try watching videos with small prints and you'll appreciate a bigger screen.
    4. Closer to a real book reading experience.
    5. Monitors and TVs are in portrait mode for optimal watching and browsing experience. The Z10, Z30, Leap, and the Slider (much like the iPhone) would be less enjoyable in portrait mode browsing.
    6. Better app viewing. If the screen ends up not being optimal for the apps, BlackBerry is already implementing the crop mode and should solve most of the issues.
    7. The Work Wide App will make more sense and give a better productivity experience.
