Please take a look at this screenshot. Passport has been on standby all night on flightmode. No Wifi, no activity and yet 58% of my battery is gone. Turned on the phone at 9.42 am and made 1 call that lasted 45 seconds. Brightness is set to 40%. Bluetooth and Blend is turned off. I am struggling to get a full days battery life with little or no activity. What am I doing wrong?Passport battery draining. 58% battery gone on Standby-img_20150515_114208.jpg

I installed the Kindle app and that is what caused my battery drain.

hmmm, thanks raggededge I will try to delete the Kindle app to see if it helps but from the battery screen it doesnt even register as being the troublemaker.

Have you tried to just reboot the phone?

Thanks raggededge You were absolutely right. Deleting the Kindle App has provided a lot more battery power and after a moderate day of use I still have 30% left where before I would have nothing. I have tested it the last 2 days and I have seen a huge improvement. Thank you so much. mad_mdx I have rebooted the phone several times since getting it on Black Friday sale last year but that has not helped, but thanks for suggesting it.

The first month I had the phone the battery was fantastic. then out of the blue the battery was dying in less than a day. I had to do a master reset on my phone and now the battery is great again

Only time mine did that and got wicked hot was when my Garmin Connect app didn't want to play nice. In my case the Android Player was also my second place most battery eating app. Finally the most recent version seems stable. It was launching every time I turned BT on to connect to my truck, and then searching in vain for my Vivofit till the battery was half gone.

Now when I see that usage I go on the hunt for the Android culprit to delete.

Absolutely right! I deleted Kindle. The CPU usage is much lower now. I will keep checking. Thanks!!!
