The Passport lets you talk for an 1:23h longer, browse 1:07h longer, but watch videos 29 minutes less, but is rated 6 hours less? I guess it depends on how you weigh each activity.

I do notice my own Passport battery drain like crazy...
It wasn't like that when I first got it, but now, it goes down by at least 10% every hour.

I work in an office, so not a big problem, but still.

The 6 Plus will easily last more than a day, actually. I do have a hard time believing it can last as long as the Passport, but the 6 Plus has a pretty sizable battery - it's the normal 6 (I own one) that rarely goes longer than a day.

One plus outperforms the passport with battery life. I have both and run more apps on One plus and it outperforms the passport. Over time I've noticed that the passport battery drain is actually getting worse.

Get 2 and a half days out of my IPhone 6+ easily . If I owned a Passport I could give a better idea of whether the 6+ or the Passport lasts longer. Alas, I have no real interest in ever owning a Passport so can't do.

I have both and the battery's are about equal. They both get really great battery life. Saying that an iPhone can't or doesn't get great battery life when only looking at the older models is like saying that Blackberry's all get bad battery life and using the Z10 as an example.

In actuality, Blackberry's stopped getting great battery life when they started modernizing their phones. The 9900's battery life was awful, and so is the Z10's. I've found the Q10's to be better than the Z10's, but you have to factor in the tiny screen and it still isn't that great. In my short time with the Classic I found the battery to be severely lacking and not even close to the Passports (which is expected since its a smaller battery). I have a Z30 now as well and its battery is a little better, but its not some world beating battery that some make it out to be. It is better than the iPhone 5 and 5s, but not better than the iPhone 6. With the Z30 there is also a trade off with the really dim screen you are getting that aids in the battery life over phones that have a screen that you can actually use outdoors.

In my opinion the "Blackberry's get great battery life" is an outdated saying, except for the Passport, which gets terrific battery life. But even with that, its not because BB10 has been optimized, its because the battery is so massive, which I would say the same about the iPhone 6plus. I do think iOS could be more optimized though as the 6plus's battery is smaller than the Passports but the battery life is about the same.

Right now I use an iPhone 6+ and a BlackBerry Passport. The 6+ actually has very good battery life. Under certain usage scenarios it is better than the Passport, others it's worse. Overall, the battery life on the two devices is on-par. I'm a very heavy user of all of my phones and my Passport gets me through the day no issues with ~15% battery left. It's about the same for the 6+.

Using my Playbook charger, from completely dead it takes a little less than 3hrs

I regularly get two days out of my battery on my passport, and I would say I use my phone regularly.. hot spot, phone, email, text, bbm.. never have to worry about running out of juice even if I forget to charge

I think they also include standby time in the total rating, even though it is not one of the three times they list separately.

I had iPhone 5s before my Passport and wife has iPhone 6+, and I have to say that Passport fare well against 6+ in terms of battery usage.

In fact, my Passport actually outlasts 6+ for normal use such as browsing, emailing and messaging.

It all depends on how it's used. My ex-gf has a 6+ and it doesn't last the day. But she uses Facebook messenger, iMessage and sms intensively each day

I don't think the test is realistic. I have both phones and the Passport's battery lasts drastically longer than the iPhone's. I do a lot of tethering and while this barely puts a dent in the Passport's battery life, it jus kills the iPhone 6 Plus's

I posted the first response, which points out that the Passport is better at talk and browser time, and someone said that the standby time with the 6+ is better, i.e. the 6+ is better when it's doing nothing. Tethering is doing something, so the Passport will be better...
