Why? I think it's better ppl having PROBS go back to 10.3.2. Coz 3.3 has no much difference, it say security upgrade. But what is it actually? What's theuse if the version irritates the user?

    10.3.2 is from 2015, and 10.3.3 is from 2016.

The latest version, 10.3.3.3216 has the patch for Krack.

I have no issues on either OS.

Once you've loaded 10.3.3 you can't go back to 10.3.2.

You use a PP alongside your K1?

The real issues are hardware. The antenna or Bluetooth start failing because the overheated. Overall 10.3.3 was very stable for me. the Bluetooth died on my passport SE and cell died on passport black. typical (can be seen on devices other that BBs when they overheat) but unfortunate. If you PP works well, 10.3.3 latest will work wonderfully.

You don't happen to have a pre-production PPSE running Android Lollipop, do you?

Man, that thing would sell real well on ebay.

Only to a collector. They're pretty much functionally useless.

We had somebody with one here a while ago, and if memory serves me BlackBerry demanded it back once they saw the posts.

After 10.3.3 OTA few days ago everything seems to me fine apart from recurring notification about unanswered call, really upsetting bug that never appeared on 10.3.2. Anybody suffers from it?

    - Because it's running Android 4.3 and will never be updated
    - Because the OS' that were loaded at that time were never fully optimized. eg: Drivers are off, it's slow and sluggish etc etc.
    - Because the devices have never been certifed so some Google Apps can't even run.

I could go on, but I'm sure you get the point. Great collectors item though.

    Ehem!
It actually runs android 5.0/5.1( lollipop)
Drivers off? What do you mean by that?
There were drivers (cause it need them to be bootable) but they might not be well optimised!

There is some new error iv been hearing with the upgrade to 10.3.3, some stuck on 100% boot screen, some hub deleted automatically, and many more. But no body complained much on 10.3.2.

That sounds like an issue with the upgrade process. You are not actually running 10.3.3 until after the reboot.

Version doesn't matter, lol. Point still stands. It'll never be updated. And I said what I meant, the drivers aren't optimized and never will be. Are you seriously trying to argue that it would be a great device for daily use? It wasn't fully functional even when they were testing it, it sure didn't get better with time.

    nope by no means!
I just want to point accurately about spec!
As you said and I mentioned the driver were not optimised!
It certainly would be a great device to have! (as collector)

If the guy with the Android Passport kept it a little more subtle about having it, I don't think BlackBerry would have been as interested in getting it back, but he was just too vocal about it. I just wish he was able to back it up before giving it back. Also IIRC the Passport aspect ratio did not conform to the Android requirements so BB was not able to use it for a production model unless they were able to get some special OK from Google and I doubt that would ever happen.

I remember him trying to sell/trade it. What I don't remember was how he got the device in the first place. Anyone fill that in? In someones drawer before they left BB for their next gig at Ford et tal?

AFA I can remember he wasn't trying to sell it!
He did bought it (not sure) from eBay! I can well remember the price (260$)
And it was written on the phone "not for sale " at bottom left corner! (I do have pretty good visual memory 😁)
