not sure why but parental controls aren't enabling for me. I can toggle it on and off, but when I exit it, either swipe up/back arrow, it doesn't start it. when I go back, it is off again.
last time it did this, I just autoloaded os again but I rather not this time if there is a solution to it
I am using new os with old android runtime time, not sure if this combo broke it or something

um, is that the same as a reboot? Power off phone, then turn it back on, if so, then yes
Well according to the BlackBerry KB it's a soft reset unless you take out the battery but of course the Passport is non removable. So in my mind the soft reset you hold the power button down until you see the black screen, press restart.
Hard reset you hold both the volume up/down buttons at the same time until the screen goes black, powers completely down. The android runtime should reinitialize after powering it back up.
but what does android runtime have to do with preventing the parental controls from starting?
tried that, it rebooted but still not working :(
Nothing to my knowledge lol but you mentioned the possibility that the runtime may have introduced a glitch so thought it may be of some benefit.
