Many users have been asking for themes forever. Now the first image pops up of a white BlackBerry passport and it has white "x" bads under the active frames.

Now this is probably just speculation mixed with wishful thinking, but could this be the first step towards themes? Could we have os wide themes?

P.S. I do understand that this is a render but the image of the os doesn't look modified

You mean because the bar is white? Maybe that's just in 10.3.1, or its a part of that coloring scheme that BlackBerry is implementing

You're probably right but Isn't it a little coincidental that the only image of that white bar under the apps is on the white passport?

Did you notice that the title bars also have the app icons too? Looks good.

It's 10.3.1 and LCD (Light Theme)

It seems misleading because this is your first look at 10.3.1

And why would that be 10.3.1 when BlackBerry is still working on 10.3 and the passport will start off with 10.3

10.3.1 is what's being heavily tested now. 10.3 is pretty well final, and this "themed" active frames is part of the early 10.3.1 builds, but will be in the public builds of 10.3, starting with the Passport.

My point is they're coming from the 10.3.1, being integrated into the final builds of 10.3. Sounds backwards, yes, but current 10.3.1 builds look exactly as shown above.

Take that how you will - just letting you know what I've seen first hand.

I was under the impression that the passport would launch with 10.3.1

No the passport is launching with 10.3. All of the other OS10 devices will be getting a later update to 10.3.1 instead of 10.3

Maybe not the right place, but I was curious about ring profiles. Im going to jump to a passport or classic from an OS7 device as soon as I can see which works better for me, but do they have the ability to customize a ring profile like the OS7 devices? (or is there any hint of it for 10.3 and 10.3.1) Sorry for the noob BB10 OS question.

It's more limited, as you cannot choose a different profile for inside or outside the cover, except for vibrating.
But you can change ring tone with everything you want, unlike the iphone.
They reintroduced application personalization with 10.1 and contact with 10.2.

You still cannot personalize how long the vibrations last or their frequencies.
