Do a couple of hard reboots (holding both Volume buttons down until red led shows, then release when it goes off) once the OS settles it should rock. I am getting 2-2 1/2 days before I need to even think of charging and this is with consistent usage and 4 work email accounts with @ 250-300 emails per day.

Thanks I'll give it a try and see if any changes happen over the week. So far I have tried the power button shut down and power on. Nothing seem to have improved so I'll try this for a week and see if anything changes. If not worst case I'll rollback.

But you have time to read through these posts and write that you don't have time to update your phone? That doesn't make any sense to me.

Using Sachesi isn't as easy as opening up the CB10 app and scrolling, then typing a comment.

Have an unlocked passport from blackberry. Never installed 1581 when the update notice appeared. After 1776 issued still had the 1581 notice and it didn't change. Finally removed sim and hard reset a couple of times. New update finally showed up. Not exactly sure why that happened but works great. No issues.

Loaded this OS when I activated my unlocked shopblackberry phone on the AT&T network. Then I blitzed this:

Eventually got on my Passport (Amazon, Unlocked, Vodafone SIM). The SIM was removed to check for the Update.
The file itself was 67MB only.

In general the Passport seem to work a lot faster incl. apps taken from the Amazon Shop. I don't use any SNAP'd (sideloaded) apps so cannot comment on this. BBM is also much faster now.

No Flickering so far and Notification sounds good. The Passport got a bit warm after I added all accounts back. So the CPU had a load of work to do. I sec wiped the device before the update.

I was tired of waiting ota update, so I did it via sachesi this morning.
I'm disappointed. I have battery drain (down to 48% since 8am) and I also got some signal drops during phone call.
I really hope it will settle after couple of hard reboots.
It's really frustrating when I don't know what surprise will I get after each update. For premium device, I would expect stable device without surprising like that (most of the BlackBerry users I know, aren't tech oriented and they don't care about Sachesi stuff etc.) .

@knesz As mentioned I did a security wipe before the update (I disabled the automatic update for a good reason) and that lead to a day of heavy work load on the Passport. But this was expected as well as the related battery drain.

Since then, Battery is better than with 10.3.0 (zero) and the Passport is operating noticeably faster. But I appreciate the fact that some people still see issues which is kind of odd if the software version is really the same.

I share the frustration about the bad OS versions that have been pushed out (not talking leaks). Before 1779 my Passport became nearly useless because of the flickering and low notification sounds.

I am sure Product and Development in Waterloo learned their lessons and the next updates won't get us into similar troubles again.

Having that said, for me the weak point is still the Carrier. BlackBerry should cut them out and deploy directly to the devices. Regardless if I purchased from a Carrier or not. But this require a very strong position in the market - which BBRY is not having - yet again.

Just checked for updates on my Passport, and I'm getting the update now as well. I'm on AT&T, with unlocked Passport.
Is your LTE working? I'm just getting 4g after the update through AT&T with unlocked Passport. I live in WNC and never had this issue.

Yes... but only after I removed my SIM card, powered up and then performed a hard reset by holding down both volume buttons until my device restarted. When I manually checked for software updates the update appeared.

I have an unlocked device from Shop.Blackberry.com.

Absolutely can't wait anymore! It's so annoying as I'm on ROGERS WIRELESS and the aformentioned update for the Passport is taking it's sweet merry time. I just updated manually today using sachesi and the leak files in the os forum. Updated to the current 2708 without any hitches.

Love the update and my device seems to be working much faster. So far haven't really noticed much difference other than the device speed and responsiveness.
