You do not have to install anything first. From what you have straight to latest you can find. Happy upgrade.

Hello,
Unlocked phones is one thing ShopBB phones is another thing.
Example : If you have an unlocked Z10 STL100-2, STL100-1, STL100-4 those phones are not going to get the updates directly from BlackBerry. Only the Z10 STL100-3 is going because that is the only one BlackBerry sells in ShopBB. Unlocked in this case means that you can use different carrier providers that doesn't mean you will get the update. They are still carrier dependent.

Removing the SIM, rebooting, through Link: none of that seems to matter, the OS update is still linked to a region or carrier somehow. Maybe through APN settings or bloatware or something like that.
You only get updates directly from BlackBerry if you have both a ShopBB device and your Carrier allows updates through unchecked. And many of them still don't.
It's been almost a week since people have seen these updates appear on their Passport, and ShopBB Devices in my region still can't see it.
ShopBB Devices being in a magical position for instant updates is a CrackBerry myth.

Since this OS has settled a few days my battery life has been insanely good. Very happy. A great device getting better is just phenomenal

Just got it,unlocked PP on 3 in Austria. Its finally so loud as i got used on Z30 once... hope flickering and wifi issues are solved too, it was 65mb via OTA

I got it on my red Amazon Passport, but still have not gotten it on my Shop BlackBerry black one.

They've both had the same sim card in them, and they're both here with me in Southern California...so I don't know what the hold up is with the black one.
