Got the update OTA on my unlocked OG passport. AT&T network. Might just be me, but the UI is a bit more responsive. Quicker on the swipes.

I should mention the phone went into an install loop at the very end after a reboot. It was sounding like text messages were coming in over and over. I gave it about 5 minutes and then just powered down the device. After the reboot, i got the standard updated OS message and all is fine.

I love how all these threads always keep praising "unlocked devices", when that never does anything for most of us.
If you get it straight away your carrier just allowed the updates through unchecked. If they still want get involved, you have to wait, no matter where you got your device.
Not with SIM, not without SIM, not through Link, not through Settings. Not after a reboot, not after a hard reset. ShopBB bought.

If there is no SIM how can/could a carrier be involved on an unlocked device? I have two unlocked devices and I am getting these more recent clean up/fixes updates even without removing my SIM. Unlocked shop BlackBerry purchased Z30's and Passport. Running them on AT&T here in CA.

We did remove the SIM in our unlocked Z30's for the original/official 10.3.1 but not since. (removed, turned off phone for 5 minutes, restarted without SIM and checked on WiFi and there it was) All the more recent upgrade/fixes have come OTA with out necessitating the removal of the AT&T SIM(s)

Yeah, I think it's more like Shop BBerry phones have generally been sent updates, so unlocked and (probably more important) UNBRANDED. I'm on T-mo USA with SIM in, shop bberry Z10 and got this update last night, My unlocked, BRANDED t-mo Z10 (no SIM) gets nothing. I believe most North American carriers send out OS updates based on IMEI.
