Sure, you Will get it OTA irregardless of what is your previous OS.
That is of course if you've got the update. And likely the file will be more than a gig.
If you haven't got the update, you can always Blitz it or autoloader as well. You can find the instruction to install it easily in one of the forums.


BTW, I haven't receive it OTA. Might need to get on WiFi and remove my sim card to check for the update.

Software release 1779 is for OS 2576.

2576 is newer than 2558

I just checked for the update on my Passport and received the update. I am on the EE network right now but phone was purchased from ShopBB in Canada.

I received my update notice this morning and was a large file (1002MB) which installed with no issues. Everything runs smoothly and VERY fast! I will do several restarts and hopefully battery consumption will be much more improved!
