I bought 2 replacement batteries so I can keep using the passport for years as BlackBerry might go android only. I can't find anywhere if the battery is shaped the same or uses the same connects. Finding teardowns of the SE not easy. I have the original now but will buy the SE soon. I tried my boss' pass & I want it

Edit. The title should say compatible and not comparable. Not sure how to edit it.

Too bad. This is the reason why I hate non-removable batteries. If this is the last BB10 device then there will be lots of BB10 die hards like me who will be suffering when the batteries go on us with the lack of parts on ebay.

Fyi, it is not a good idea to buy batteries in advance. Batteries lose their capacity by just sitting still as well.

This is the thing that most people don't know. Batteries still degrade in performance and capacity even when it isn't or wasn't even used.

Maybe they do degrade over time but knowing if the battery in the SE is the same is still a question as I have found none advertised as compatible with it. I don't want to pay $150/hr to replace a battery after the warranty is over. I will stay with the vanilla PP till I can find replacement batteries & lcd screens. No SE love on ebay for parts.

Hey your experience is very intriguing, care to open a thread describing the incident and inviting comments and other damage experiences :-)

Thanks allot!!!! It is the same battery. I think this is the first pic from inside a BlackBerry PP SE. You are the best.

    Lol *facepalm*

It's not like the batteries get manufactured when you order them. They're already sitting around in a warehouse. So why not buy them while you still can...
