Bad news, nobody at Optus know anything about the Passport and the mentioned thread in crowd support has been removed.

Yeah I thought something was odd, went looking for that thread on their site but couldn't find it again. Spoke to 2 optus stores and business centre and no one knew anything about it. I guess chances of having them in stores tomorrow is next to none!

Ordered mine off Amazon this morning - the official 599 USD from Amazon Export. Just under 700AUD, and expected delivery before the 30th.

Stuff Telstra and Optus - I always buy outright and they've lost my sale.

is the warranty easy to access if buying from amazon?

That's my only reservation really, atm got a deposit on 2 passports at Personal Digital, was supposed to be delivered today, but now eta is 21 next Tuesday.

so far the optus stores in hornsby, chatswood, wynyard and townhall george street in sydney havent heard of any news of it. what a shamozzle. if anyone hears anything in any store please update in this space!

Same in Melbourne visited 3 stores including the cbd flagship store and got the same response. We don't stock BlackBerry anymore and have heard nothing of a passport release

Ordered mine on the 29th from Amazon US. Should be here next tuesday. As Harrison said, about $700 with priority shipping. Never had to get a waranty yet - been buying overseas for all my phones over the last few years (n8, 808, z10, passport).

Yeah didn't expect much from aussie telcos.... I run my own business, and for the past few days, an optus rep has been calling me asking me for switch over to optus... "name me your conditions", she said....
So just out of curiosity, I asked if I could be given a free passport if I signed up, she said no problem, any of the new phones, no questions asked.... I said, are you sure??... she said no problems... I asked her if she knew which brand a passport was? No clue whatsoever.

Just spoke with someone from Optus online chat and was advised that they can take order online now with an eta of delivery in 2 weeks. Will also be available in store in 2 weeks apparently.

I will be in Vietnam by then so may pick one up from there.

How will we be able to order them online? Do we just chat to a representative and go from there or wait for the website to display the phone as a pre-order?
