Hi may I ask out of interest why you prefer the IPP?

In the post from yesterday, I think it came down to certain apps not readily available through the Passport. While I haven't found any I can't do without yet, if you're after functionality, then you want everything to be there. I'm happy with what's available, obviously, not everyone is.

Vodafone is no better. They sell the Q10 and Z30 but no one would know it, nothing whatsoever on their website either.

Your truly right. That's why I purchase my phone outright. I bought my phone at shopblackberry.com. Didn't wait for my carrier. I truly wonder why they push out certain phones. Everyone should heed the warning of Snowden.

Yeah, I read that, I was just saying that I believe I saw that you could only get them by going into the store, but they would still have to be ordered, not readily available.

They do!?! I didn't know this
But why would you buy a great phone which you can't use because you have no reception
Okay, okay I know they should have (at least in Sydney) the fastest 4G network right now but I guess that's because they don't have many customers who use it.

I'm not satisfied with Optus and their service but I think they have a better value for money than Telstra and are much better than Voda therefore I stay...

My thoughts exactly allwi. Best of a bad bunch. As someone here has alluded, you could buy the device outright, but what's the point of a device when you have no carrier to make it function.

Gotta disagree with you. Reception with Vodafone has been fantastic, 4G is lightning quick and they have the best value plans by far. My mum lives on Central coast and was with Optus but had to go to Telstra as network reception was totally crap. I get full service at her house. My brother lives at The Ponds (near Parklea) and same again, he has little to no reception with Optus inside his house while I have full 4G.
As for not many customers, I know of only 3 people with Optus and none of those are happy, while I know at least thirty on Vodafone all of which are totally happy with the network. Telstra may be better in regional areas but their prices are ridiculous compared to Vodafone.
I have been with Vodafone for 20 years and am very reluctant to change as I am more than happy with network coverage and plan pricing. Even at home I prefer to use Vodafone 4G as it is FAR quicker and more reliable than our Telstra ADSL2. If I try to open the Telstra home page on my iPad at home it wont open when connected to Telstra broadband, so I turn off wifi and use the Vodafone network and it connects straight away. Go figure!

    You really need help buddy.

good try, but we know what you are saying is not true. You really don't know anything about the blackberry phones. There is no app issue any more. Educate yourself and you will find out that all the ways you can install apps thru various channels . Now i wonder who has more apps android or apple? Good question!

I use Optus for my phone, and Telstra for mobile broadband. Telstra has better wireless coverage for data, but I find I have acceptable phone coverage with Optus at all times.

Had 100% battery this morning now at 48%.

Screen is at less than 50% brightness. And I haven't been doing anything out of the ordinary.

Where is this awesome battery life?
