Clearly from what I am reading Blackberry AU has again dropped the ball and not developed better carrier relations. There is a huge potential market in AUS, yet unless they market it and tap into the carriers BB will not sell. Imagine having the best product but not telling anyone about welcome the BB AU.
I hear you buddy. We need a new GM. I'm concerned that BlackBerry have conceded the Australian market, which is ludicrous since we seem to be able to get devices to our carriers quicker than the USA.

    Clancy,

I would agree it looks like the AUS market is not in their scope which is sad.

My work has also shut off all of the BES servers. Even the support for BlackBerry 10 devices will be gone by March, and that's coming from one of the Big Fours.

Nah, but I live near the cbd if you want to demo mine. I had to blind purchase, but I'm not mad about the results, cuz this phone is just grand.

Not from Optus - but I was very keen on the release as it includes a few (minor) things I'm looking forward to like launching app per keyboard shortcut, so I downloaded via Sachesi the Rogers release and updated my Q10.

After 2days, I went back and was so glad that I could reload my device with the 10.2.1 release from Optus.
Aside from a few changes which I don't like at all (calendar, blue blob, cramped hub, ...), I had several issues: weak wifi, assistant not working properly like finding apps.
So I understand completely why Optus hasn't released it yet - though I must admit I don't really think they are testing it but are rather too lazy to load it on their servers

I think you are very correct about the testing and the lazy bit. I am sure not holding my breath waiting for the update.

Yup. Got the notification on my phone one day after release, phone was bought from Amazon. Seems to run okay, better than the original software in my case anyways and the additional features are good!

Doesn't help for Passports bought from Optus. I don't want to use a leak.

It's not a leak, official release pushed by BlackBerry. all other carriers around the world have had the safe software version.

Any updates I would like to come via Optus. If the update is problematic, there is someone local I can annoy/pester/hassle.

I was speaking with the guys on the community forums and they said that it would be along as soon as they had a version which they felt comfortable pushing. Andy said this month, but considering the Telstra website says April 6th, I think it may be a stretch to get it before then.

I've been using the latest leak with the flicker fix 2480. It's been great for me so far.

I updated on day 1 (amazon bought device). I don't have any of the flickering issues, or any of the popular ones doing the rounds. Love 10.3.1, and wouldn't look back if you paid me.

I wonder if it has something to do with apps you have installed. I don't do social media, so maybe that has something to do with flickering.

Thanks Chap, I've been getting a bit of flickering lately so might give this update a go

I'll be asking both Optus and Telstra for the phone when the passport is available, and whoever has the phone gets the business.

    Posted via CB10
You might be waiting for a while...and I think never get it. Get onto Michael Clewley, ask him for a discount code (limited life), go on shop blackberry and buy one yourself. You don't need Telstra, Optus, or whoever else to buy a blackberry.

Yes, I also got the notification but after I experienced some time ago the setback with the new calendar (dots, no bars, increasing numbers, etc). I decided to stay with 10.2.1
