Here is the response from clipp yo my feedback.

"Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback in relation to your disappointment. Ideally we would love to keep all platforms up and running but unfortunately it's not commercially viable for us at this point in time.

@DRWORMBOY, I appreciate this feedback this is one of the arguments I had with BBAU marketing a few years ago it is not as difficult as many have stated considering there is a post on here how to remove the google play services restriction it could be part of the auto load to BB world process. I was running leaked 10.2 at the time first of the auto apk load builds. hmm give me a day or so and ill have another survey up this one i may run global also if you have not as yet complete this survey BlackBerry Passport Poll | Efron Media Group.

Keep this stuff coming it helps alot.

    Also off-topic:

@DrWormBoy - I used GMaps Patcher (see http://forums.crackberry.com/android...rvices-914930/) to patch TransitTimes+ and it works perfectly (though a bit slow)
You need to have the APK - but when you use SNAP, you can tell snap to store the APK in a known location after install. So that's no issue.

I does not work for all apps ... or at least I could patch WeatherZone Freebut never got it reliable working.

Looks like amazon will deliver to Aus. Wondering if I should pull the trigger before it sells out. Looks like it would be $711 shipped...

Where are you? I come over to have a look at this awesome device (just joking)

Although the device still sounds to big for me, after the reviews i'm tempted to give it a try

I sent a tweet to Telstra and was told to register my interest because they were waiting to hear about this and had no info. Useless.

Looks like Amazon has a monopoly..

I was thinking of an Amazon order myself, however was concerned that the radio bands would not be the same (ie. SQN-001 or what have you) and not work on Telstra 4G. I also think I prefer the white version, which there wasn't really much mentioned at the event, and nobody has it listed. Can anyone shed light?

Check out clove.co.uk who will have the white version from 29 September. It converts to approx $780 outright with delivery

    I'm in Sydney.

There is only one version of the passport release which I believe works for all GSM networks (accepts a massive amount of frequencies).

I was considering buying from Amazon if the RRP in AU is ridiculous, but I assume there would be zero warranty support in AU.

Not that it's much better when you buy from a carrier like Optus since they just send it back to Sydney to their
    generic service center provider.

Hey guys I would hold off sales in Australia are for enterprise and give only on Optus not sure about Telstra see how sales go there may be massive price drops in 6 months think of the PlayBook and the q10 and z10 worth getting but rather do two for one
