    Hey hey,

I finally received my BlackBerry Passport today, I'd like to optimize the battery to make sure it has the best charge. Does anyone know the best way to do that?

    Congrats on the purchase.

I can give you some pointers that's has helped me get around 20 hours of heavy use

-brightness on this beast can be set to around 25%. No need for more as it's bright even at that level.
    - when installing apps ensure to minimize ones running in the background. I have none
    - turn bbm link to apps off for each app. Under application settings
    - turn nfc off if you are not using it
    - use wifi when at home. Radio goes to a low power state
    - drain your batter to less than5% before charging each time
Ensure a full charge with charger provided. I don't like using chargers with more Amperage such PlayBook's as the phone can over heat
    - set synch of accounts to 30 rather then less

Note battery drains faster first few days as phone needs to synch etc. After that it just gets better every day. It's the best phone I have ever owned. Below is with heavy use.

Thank you so much for the tips! But doesn't dropping the battery lower than 5% eventually kill the battery length?

some say always let it drain, some say always charge before it drops under 30%. It's a never-ending story.

Power cycle phone but never below 20%. Power cycling lith ion batteries a few times does help extend battery life but the trick is to never let the lithium ion battery completely drain. Power cycle a few times and the batt life will dramatically improve!
