No problem at all. You won't get warranty but everything else will be the same.

I've even heard the Passport is available in the grey market for ~ Rs. 40 K so that might be an option as well.
On Amazon.com it's now 33k, if we ship it to India, it's 36k incl shipping charges+Tax Duties.

Agreed. I almost sold my passport after using for 10 days. But after using iPhone for few hours I realised it's not worth and now I am loving it even more.

Thanks for giving it another chance, it's all about getting used to it.

That's even a better deal than buying it on the grey market!! I just checked amazon.com and they are charging $ 555 inclusive of shipping and duties. Based on the current exchange rate that equals Rs. 35 K. If you want to be billed in INR it's the Rs. 36 K that you mentioned!

Smoking hot deal and much better than buying it in India for Rs. 50 K.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Where exactly in Amazon? I have tried few Amazon (I have PP but just tried to pretend buying) stores but none of them ship it to India. I actually did ship from UK but ended up paying ranson to Mumbai Customs and had waited almost one month! Not worth it IMO! It is better to go with online stores or grey markets in India!

Check the amazon.com listing for BlackBerry Passport sold by BlackBerry on Amazon. We can only buy items which are sold "by amazon". Hope u understood me.
We don't have to pay any customs if we buy from amazon.com, since they charge us initially when making the payment for all those customs. I have bought items worth 15k, but was not charged even 1rs when I got the item.

You can't exactly call it a success, BlackBerry have sold approx 5000 units from launch until now in India as per import data. After the initial pent up demand the sales were tapered off quite drastically. On Amazon.in it is sales rank is 1200.

Another option is buying it on Amazon.Com. Price works out to ~ Rs. 42 K currently but on Black Friday it was available for 35 K. I'm sure the price on Amazon.Com will drop again.

Amazon has reduced the price to Rs. 46,555! Hopefully a price drop is in the offing. I know a few people that want to buy but are waiting for the price to get down to under Rs. 40,000.

They've now dropped it to Rs. 45,777. So a drop of Rs. 800 within one day. If this continues we should see it breaking the Rs. 40,000 barrier soon!

Yes BlackBerry has screwed up again I feel, it has to understand that's not in a position to demand this kind of a price in India. It's for 49,990

Blackberry isn't targeting school kids in india to purchase there flagship smartphone, after all it is a high end phone and it requires a bigger price tag.

Just saw this at Mumbai domestic airport a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure the price is inflated because this store is inside the departure gate area.

It is selling at all retailers for that price. However the etailers have dropped prices, don't know for how long... I will buy the passport in May on my birthday... hopefully it will be selling at 35k at that point...
