This started out as a hypothetical question, assuming that we won't be seeing many real improvements from BlackBerry. The question was only what you would ask for as far as upgrades. Kind of like your last meal.

If you feel, for whatever reason, that the Passport is on its way to the museum, I offer my free services to lovingly take care of your passport. I am not kidding.

Many people, including my brother, make jokes about Blackberry and why I'm sticking it out with the Passport. I don't mind. What I know is my Passport serves its purpose and gives me plenty of 'wows ' as well. Experiencewise, the passport is just a remarkable device.

Lots of respect to it, and will always have lots of it til the last drop of juice it will give me. If and when indeed Blackberry will not give it anymore love, it will be tough to get another device that's as remarkable as the Passport.

This isn't very assuring when there are people like me who are still trying to get their hands on a passport. There has to be someone out here who can tell us for sure, weather we should invest in one or not. It's not a cheap device, although it's a very good device, but not cheap to buy and forget it after a year or so. Someone who knows for sure please help us out, tell us if it's ok to buy or will it end up in the cupboard after a year??

BB10 is dead. BlackBerry is focussing solely on Android for the future, and will treat BB10 much like BBOS7. It will receive one or two last updates, then will be maintenance and security fixes only. As a consumer option, it's dead. Don't expect any Android Runtime updates, because Government and corporate customers don't/can't even use it.

I'll enjoy it while I can, but I'm not delusional.

If government and corporate customers can't use the android runtime for security reasons, why should I? Am I less deserving than the people we elect and whose salaries we pay?

Of course not. It's not like your Passport is just gonna turn into a brick on your bedside one night. Just don't expect to ever see a Passport 2

Exactly! I firmly believe that we will NEVER see another BlackBerry 10 device... but why does everyone assume that means I'll be throwing my Passport and Classic in the garbage next week? Eff that, I'll be on BlackBerry 10 until it's completely unbearable to use, and that will not be in the near future
