Not unheard of with major OTA upgrades. Best to use Link.

Can't you throw an autoloader at it?

Maybe... both the device ota and BlackBerry Link result with the same issue... I don't see how the autoloader can work when the ota fails. Of course the process has also wiped my device which can't even boot back to factory settings. This long anticipated update has basically killed my Passport.
Well sometimes over the air updates may result in bricked devices. It's not unheard of... the autoloader wipes your device during install and any eventual corrupted sections of the original OS are replaced. If link fails and the ota crippled the phone, what have you got to lose?

I highly doubt that your Passport is permanently bricked. Virtually ANY screwup can be remedied with an autoloader.
Is the 10.3.3 dev OS autoloader worth a shot? Then update from there?

Might as well try 2049 loader first.
Don't use the Dev OS!!!
Yes, but they could update to full Vernon from there. Only worth a shot if full autoloader fails.

Or they're stuck on the Dev OS.
Just use an auto loader from Thurask's site, it will give you your device back, but you will need to load back a lot of your stuff.
and it will be better than the ota anyways.
Still without 2 vital email addresses since the update. Tried everything including security wipes, factory refreshes and autoloaders. I've even tried inputting the SMTP settings manually according to info supplied to me by Outlook; nothing. It keeps saying my provider is not recognised for both addresses. They were perfectly recognisable before the update and had been for years.
Happened to me with passport se
I kept switching it on and off until I got the BB10-0015 error flash and then hooked it up to Link and let it do its job. All seems to have worked rather well and now I have both my emails back, although I had to input them manually.
