ok ...in the dock with hardcase on phone but nest piece removed from the dock, does it rock from side-to-side or is it just not so well supported from the back side but stays straight from left to right?

The only support is the male pin which is weak so it's unstable in any direction.
You just saved me $40... thanks!!
I disagree, mine is stable with the hard shell case on sitting on dock...
Former 9900, Z10, and Z30 user and lover, but now Passport rocker!
so the question remains if I have the stilgut book style case with very thin cover folded to the back will this fit into the dock without the insert & not flop left/right supported by something more than the microusb male plug ??
Without the nest? Mine wobbles if touched.
Just to confirm, I was talking about the Kidigi Passport dock, not the OEM

That makes more sense. The OEM dock rocks back and forth.
Try the Kidigi dock, my case is very bulky at the back but sits in it well with the removable insert taken out. Not sure if it will work with the slimport adapter though, if I can get hold of one I will report back with findings.

Has anyone tried plugging a Qualcomm QuickCharge 2.0 USB Power Adaptor into this dock to see if it works? The Passport supports this technology but I don't know if the charger has to be directly plugged into the Passport to enable the feature or if it can "pass through" the dock connector.
Just wondering, does it effect your battery health if you keep your phone on the charging dock for like 6 hours even when it's fully charged?
Been looking online for sometime and no straight answer for my concern... was hoping that someone here would enlighten me with such puzzling matter!

Wow! That is very short sighted and limited in thinking. I think they have to do some more in house cleansing. Seams there is still some slugs working in design at BlackBerry.
