This would work decent for the z3 as the USB port is on the bottom of the phone like the passport

Thanks for the pics , they look great.

I also have the hard shell case, I hope there will be a better solution for this vs the post its! Although , I do realise it is a cheap and quick solution... for a 650 euro phone?!

The Z10 or 30 will not fit well.
This passport dock has the pins directly in the center.
That might not be the correct positioning for the Z30 or Z10.

Can someone please post images of a Z10 and/or a Z30 using this dock? Thanks in advance

Are the Passport Dock and the Classic Dock one in the same? Ordering off Amazon and in my cart it says, "BlackBerry Classic Modular Sync Pod with USB Cable for Passport."

OEM packaging mine came in says for Passport and make no mention of Classic whatsoever.

Part Number is different to the one I got from Amazon UK which is ACC-60407-001

The one you are linking to is ACC-60460-001

As there is no charger included I would assume that there should be no difference between the European and NA/Canadian version.

Could well be that the one you are linking to is for the Classic and not the Passport.

Done a search on Amazon Canada using the Passport Part Number and came up with this for you:

Amazon.com: Genuine BlackBerry Passport Sync Pod / Charging Pod / Desktop Dock - Black (ACC-60407-001): Cell Phones & Accessories

Ok, but at least it confirms the correct part number for the Dock for the Passport.

Even the image of the one you linked to showed a Classic in the Pod so sure it isn't the one you want.

To bad the passport (or newer BlackBerry or the matter) does not have the charging contacts similar to the bold 9900. It made life with the dock 1000x's better.

I was thinking even the same as the BlackBerry playbook magnet contacts would work wonders too

    You might have something there.
But, I guess it's the weight, which would be harder to balance the Passport.

Just got the dock recently too and I'm absolutely loving it. It's priced right, functional, and feels sturdy. Good for charging and PC syncing but what makes it all worth it for me is the awesome BBM Video experience when it's propped up.

I'm a little worried it would be too easy to knock the phone by accident and break the micro USB port in the phone.

Its quite stable in the dock. I have two in operation and I don't find them flimsy. Obviously accidents can happen and if you hit it hard enough you could damage something.

As mhw100 said, it's sturdy and functional.
Just don't fall on it and crush it and the phone.
But it's stable on a desk/table it won't slide around.

Since the Classic is a little thicker than the Passport, maybe it's possible to use a Passport with a case on the Classic dock?

I'm pretty sure the Classic and Passport sync pods are the same thing. The Passport one is out of stock but the classic one is still available. I wonder if anyone can confirm whether there is any difference between the two?
