where is the mic button on the Z10 in text messages ? (Im a dumbass for not being able to find it for months) so just wondering....screen shot ?

Once you go into the messaging window and the Keyboard pops up, before entering anything hold the '.' (period) key for sometime and you will see that a mic icon shows up - I think this technique works whenever the Keyboard pops up to let you enter text - remember to hold down the period key before entering any character else the '.' key will revert to its "normal mode" of entering the '.' character when you click on it. I think Passports keyboard will also support a similar behavior.

I bought it at Telus outright. I unlocked it and I'm using on Fido. WoW it's BIG and thats what she said is the number one thing I say after I show it off.

I'm fairly new here and seriously considering the BB Passport... I've briefly used the Q10 but screen too small... Currently have iPhone 5c..

Question: are there emoticons or emojis on 10.3 bb also on the Passport?

I have a #Z30 and when I text I do see quite a few emoticons. If you use BBM it also comes with a bunch of really nice "BBM Stickers" - a couple are free but others you have to buy.

The phone volume could be a bit better. I have a hearing impairment and wear a hearing aid and find that I can't hear clearly enough when lots of background noise is present, even with the volume turned up almost all the way.

With hearing aids and background noise nothing beats a mobile with hearing aid mode and hearing aids with a "mic+telecoil" or "telecoil" programm. I�m near deaf und use power hearing aids (Phonak Naidas). Switching my hearing aids in the telecoil programm I could theoretically make a phone call beside a starting airplane

BTW:
Hell, it seems that the passport have no hearing aid mode like Q5 or Q10 and only a M4-Rating. Without a T-Rating no passport for me

Mine arrived today, too, and it's a work of art! Very solid, great display and not as massive as I thought it would be (Z30 and Nokia 1320 user here). It feels quick but I've got to wait to get home for the 700+MB system update and to get my nano SIM. The keyboard will take some getting used to but it's not too out of control. Really happy with this purchase and can't wait to dig into it more!

No you will need a new nano sim or cut down your current z30 one

I picked mine up on the way home on launch day. Lovin' it.

Funny story -- I had just gotten it and had to stop into the Apple store to pick up an adapter for my iPhone. The Apple sales guy saw my Passport. Shortly we had 2 Apple guys and a customer all comparing it to iP6. Oddly, no one was dissing the Passport. All agreed that each suited different people.

did you do a restore from another device or backup?

I did a partial restore from my Z30 backup. Most of my stuff is cloud/synced. I skipped the settings, just restored a handful of apps for which I could not afford to lose data. The rest of the apps I reinstalled from BB World. (That also forces me to look at what apps I actually use, as well.)

We compared the browser, the Hub/messaging, media player (the sound was particularly impressive from the Passport), Docs to Go, camera pix. They were fairly impressed.

I receive my new passport at 10 o'clock this morning FedEx and I'm Lovin it, what a beautiful device and just oozes quality. Best 683.00 I have spent. I took my iPhone 6 back this afternoon and got a refund, between the passport and the iPhone, the difference was 280.00 back in my pocket. I couldn't be happier.
