It will only work with iPads or Android tablets. Not the phones.

Well it says iOS and on their app store they're describing as a software for iPod, iPhone and iPad and I'm under the impression that blackberry would put the emphasis on Tablet instead of phone to prevent people not buying their handset. But is there people who tried on their iPhone or iPod and came up short ?

You actually get used to the size rather quickly. The screen and typing on this is great.

I read it on the Globe and Mail and the CBC, but it makes sense that it doesn't though. In any case, those are pretty good sources, but until someone who owns one tries, I guess we won't be 100 % sure.

This thing is friggin awesome! My fears about the size were definitely unnecessary.

But I had upgraded my Q10 to .1154 so the Passport won't restore from that newer OS backup. Oops.

I got mine. But have to take my MicroSIM to a shop to get it cut up to Nano size. So not going to unpack it till tomorrow. Gutted!

I made the mistake of cutting down my 9900 sim card for the Z10 but could not get LTE. I went back and they gave me a free Sim.

Yes. I think you have to do that to download android apps.

You don't need to for apps from the amazon store, you do if you sideload snap and download an app from there or install apk directly

I got my Passport last night at a Telus outlet in a shopping mall. So far, it's a great phone. The display is unbelievably crisp and clear and yet easy on the eyes. A few test shots with the camera turned out really well, and it's clear the camera in the Passport is miles ahead of what's in the Z30 and other BBRY devices. The device is also extremely responsive and quick. Build quality is excellent, and it makes the phone feel like a truly premium device.

The overall experience using the phone is, well, a pretty standard BB10 OS experience, so nothing new to write about here. Battery life, so far, is fantastic. I charged up the phone overnight last night, and as of now, the battery level is still sitting at about 75%, despite the fact that I've been doing a little web surfing, sending a few texts and doing email.

Minor quibbles:

The Passport is *big*. I have small hands, and if the device had been any larger, I would not have been able to hold it comfortably while taking or making phone calls. The keyboard, while a lot better and easier to use than the virtual keyboard on my Z10, isn't quite as intuitive as I would have liked. My thumbs find some keys are a bit of a reach, and also find my thumbs feel a bit like they're playing a game of Twister as I type, although I expect that I will eventually get over this as I adapt to a slightly different way of typing and develop better speed.

The phone volume could be a bit better. I have a hearing impairment and wear a hearing aid and find that I can't hear clearly enough when lots of background noise is present, even with the volume turned up almost all the way. It could be that I'm not positioning the phone correctly to allow the earpiece to fire into the mics on my hearing aid. Or, it could be that the extra mic that is positioned near the earpiece is the culprit as it tries to manage volume levels. Oddly enough, I never had this problem with my Z10.

Overall, great phone. Now if I could just get BlackBerry Blend to work, and if Link would stop being so flippin' flaky!

just fully charged my passport and the battery usage graph states that i have only 7 hours of battery time remaining??? anyone here have the same experience? i was expecting better
