It will fit, but they will cover the 1/4" steel bar at the top of the SE and some of the top ear speaker. Trim off the 1/4" and it's fine.

What's everyone doing with their original Passports?
Jaglenn's Passport
don't see how that's possible, it's the same speakers. same internals.
well cool thanks for the link but n4bb's credibility is lacking
Yes. N4BB is mostly crap now. I can only look at crackberry for so long though so I pop in there every few days to see if they have anything worthwhile to read.

Selling mine, having wifes warrantied for DT, and keeping that one in box on shelf! Thinking to sell the classic and q10, to help lower cost of the 2 new SE's

Mine arrived today. The feel is beautiful, much easier to hold. Keypad is much softer and the placement better than original. I wasn't sure if I would like the looks but there is something about it that makes it a bit more refined to me. Setting it up now. I think it's a keeper.

Good to hear, for just a facelift it has me using a passport again. Whatever that is worth.. it feels like a better device as the screen is boxed in by steel and not going anywhere. Flip case works really well.

I went through the last couple pages and didn't see anything. I have my SE coming by the end of the week (placed me order yesterday...a Sunday lol) and don't plan on spending $150 for the leather holster. I saw references to the Stilgut cases as being pretty decent and they seem to have good ratings on Amazon...but with the rounded edges does anyone know if the case will still work? This is what I'm looking at for reference:
Amazon.com: StilGut Book Type with Clip, Genuine Leather Case for BlackBerry Passport, Black Nappa: Cell Phones & Accessories
Thanks in advance!
Just got the beast! Incredibly impressed. Great service from BlackBerry shop!

It seems that the 'Silver Edition' targets are those Original Passport users... I seldom see new user...

Received my SE today, and I have the slight edge feel in the upper left from the screen to the speakers. Definitely feel it when swiping down. The right side is perfectly flushed. Anyone figure out a nice solution to this?
Not yet. This is an issue and some devices are worse than others evidently.
I don't believe I have this problem thankfully. I always seem to be lucky when it comes to avoiding defective electronics.

mhw100 how did this work out for your?

It isn't quite as sharp but the screen did travel back up to be just slightly higher. Not a big deal as you don't usually swipe down from the steel.
Hey guys some people are saying that the new SE are better in these current way:
1. Faster focus/clearer camera
2. Brighter and whiter screen
3. Better reception
4. Louder and better sounding speaker
5. Softer keys
Can anyone confirm this with a side by side comparison running same software? I understand the softer keys have nothing to do with the software but what about everything else?
Still adapting to the new Silver Passport....

As for AT&T, if you have fulfilled any previous contract from them then you need to let them know. I switched from Verizon for the Passport and could either receive $15 or $25/month discount depending on data usage for bringing my own device. No reason to overpay.

@RLTurn77 Thanks. I received confirmation last night that my SE bundle is shipped. I will be taking it to the AT&T store when I get it, just so I can show it off.

Got mine yesterday and wow.. this phone is even better than the original Passport, which I love.
The keyboard is definitely and vastly improved, though like others on here I don't know exactly what BlackBerry did. It seems like the backing is lighter and not as sticky or mushy if that makes sense. The keys just click so perfectly.
Also, I love how fancy this phone feels and looks. Kind of reminds me of a knight with all the armor.

number 4 is a myth. everything thinks they're audio engineers all of a sudden. it's the same speaker, same hardware- nothing is louder or better.
I wouldn't say it is a myth exactly, the speaker may be the same but the effective speaker housing is different. The housing size and shape make all the difference, have you ever seen those "Pringles" tube iphone amplifiers? Same deal here, the chamber may be a little bigger giving the sense of a better sound...

That's for all phones not just the iPhone..
Yes, correct, was just an illustration. For all speakers as well, even those tiny BT speakers.
Having built some custom speaker/sub enclosures in the younger days, it was a true eye-opener hearing the difference of size, shape & porting.
Cheers!
