Alrightie, this info may or may not be useful. My brother and I both have BlackBerry Passports, my brother's passport doesn't flicker, he sticks to all official updates and doesn't fiddle with his device a lot but I install leaks and fiddle with my device a lot, and my device is effected with screen flicker. It looks like only certain devices are plagued with screen flicker.

Not saying installing leaks have a hand in this issue, thought i'd share my observations.

And I'm sure BlackBerry will fix this. We just have to be patient and support BlackBerry as much as we can.

I was thinking to revert back to 10.3.0.1418 official by autoloader, then autoupdate will commence

Do you think this may throw the flickering out of our Passport? Just thinking

Rebooted : still flicker. Read something here about holding volume up and down on reboot : it restarted a couple of times and the flickering is gone. Guess time will tell.

After downloading update my Passport had some bad flickering issues. After a hard reboot the flickering occurred only once when opening settings. After that no evidence of flickering, even opening settings there wasn't any flickering.

I experienced the flickering issue only in the previous leak. Now that I updated to the official OS I haven't seen it again.

    Absolutely not related!
    Autoloader or Ota both affected...

I don't know if going back to .1418 will sort the flickering issue out!

I was on 10.3.1.1993 for a week or so and did not have an issue at all. I have been on 10.3.1.2267 for a couple days now and no issues. Could it be some headless apps causing the problem? I had reboot issues till I removed a couple of new headless apps...and for 2 months no reboots again.

How did you sell your passport because of the flickering? The OS was just released yesterday! Unless you sold it because it was flickering when you were running LEAKS. Which in that case would make you an ***** since you expected stable functionality with a leak.
Easy there. As has been pointed out several times already, leaked versions are identical to release versions that have the same number. That an OS is leaked means only that it hasn't yet been released, and in some cases may never be. Those of us who installed the recently released versions have had more time to notice the flickering or other issues, that's all.

Not 20 min out of the box I had flickering with the at&t passport. I changed the 'hide action bar while scrolling' to off and this seems to have helped me.

So you had the flickering with the stock AT&T Passport? That's not going to be good if consumers start seeing that problem pop up. I had 1955 on my unlocked Passport and got the update OTA this morning on AT&T. So far it working ok. Hope the flickering doesn't show up

Two reboots has stopped for the last few hours. Font size is 9.

I just opened Docs To Go. No flickering. Like I posted above after two hard reboots I haven't had any flickering issues. Maybe just lucky.

28 hours and no flickering with the update from leak 2043. The longest flicker free span I have experienced post out of the box. I will get a good chance to really test it out at my daughter's birthday party with multiple pics.

Youtube, CB, and feedminder were my three most frequent flicker starters followed by the camera and picture apps. I have never had flicker on camera ++.

I haven't got that flickering problem (yet) and it's been about 30 hrs since the update. But every time after unlocking, there is a blue bar at the bottom of the screen, where there are the little buttons for hub, home screen, and else. A touch on the screen and that blue bar would disappear.

I update with Blackberry Link. I forgot to wipe my Passport before updating, but did the hard reset three times after the update after reading an advice for 2 hard reset in this thread lol.

Updated to the official OS. I haven't seen any sign of flickering yet. The whole phone seems to be running a lot better. But it might be the placebo effect.

I do have the battery save mode off. Give that a try.

My Passport is operating perfectly since the morning. Seems snappier, volume is reduced but at max ok for me (could be bug I hope), no flickering, but I do see that on my Classic. Classic is quite buggy still and didn't get update for that yet (is there one?).

A couple hours ago i received an update notice for my PPort. I'm now on 10.3.1.1581, which is the version released by my carrier. This is the first time I'm on 10.3.1 (no leaks for me) and i actually came on the site intending to S##T all over BB for releasing such a horrible update...i had all sorts of screen flicker and in many apps a black strip at the bottom where my action buttons are supposed to be - even in the settings app - so that you couldn't actually take actions in the app. HOWEVER - i rebooted the phone a couple times and all those problems seem to be gone.......knock wood, but so far it seems that simply rebooting has covered the problem...no screen flicker for the last 10 mins.....
