My Wife has a BB Passport which she purchase New in Dec 2014 from ShopBlackBerry. It came with OS Release: 10.3.0.0908 installed which Ran Flawlessly Until Two Days Ago! ... On Saturday Feb 21st. her Passport Automatically Downloaded OS Release: 10.3.1.1581. Her BB Passport Has Been Flickering Every Since. She did not install, and was not using any OS leak version of BB Passport OS. Her Passport flickers when she opens applications, and even when she side swipes between application pages.
I posted a quick youtube video, just seach for Touch screen issue BlackBerry Passport OS 10.3.1
Just got the recent legit update. It was all and fine for a few days, up until today. Started happening after I did a restart when all sound notifications went mute. When I restarted it, it started to happen quite frequently(opening BlackBerry Assistant, the CB app, etc).
The update made everything smoother again, and the battery life seems to have gotten back to normal(coming from the botched and accidental AT&T update release a while back), but this flickering issue needs to be resolved.

When I had reboots on my Passport it was right after I installed a headless bbworld app. It took me a couple of days to realize it...when I did I removed the app and the problem did not happen again.

I just experienced flickering on my Passport for the first time. It happened in the settings application. No other apps were open at the time. I received a phone call while in the settings app, and after hanging up the call, the flickering started.
This is 4 days since I upgraded OTA to 10.3.1.1581/10.3.1.2267. Never had a problem in 1.5 months on the stock 10.3.0.908/10.3.0.1418.
I've seen enough! My phones on lockdown and automatic updates are turned off!!!! I'm not updating $!!! BlackBerry! Let me know when this $&; storm blows over!!!!

A security wipe? Or a restore via link??

I've experienced leaks on all 10.3.1. What fixed it for me was the latest release 10.3.1.1581. No flicker since I installed the leak.
The fix is in (supposedly)... http://forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?t=1000622
Not true my Q10 has the flicker problem occasionally aswell
Have never installed any leak. Always on official OS release. Updated to latest 10.3.1 last week. Was ok for a couple of days. Problem started showing up last Sunday. Screen flickers. Camera also shows green screen. Sometimes settings will also display a blank screen. Hard reboot will fix it temporarily. Then it will come back.
So it's not an issue of leaked or non-leaked to official.
I feel bad, because I had always resisted the temptation to load a leaked OS. Specifically, because I want the most stable release. I guess official doesn't guarantee stability. :(
The bad thing is when people complained about the flicker issue on the leaked OS, people were defending BlackBerry and saying "it's a leak so what do you expect". Now it's official so there's no more excuses. BlackBerry should have used the feedback on the leaks to iron out the kinks before it was released.
Now, the challenge for Blackberry is how fast can they release a fix for this. I hope it's soon as it's obvious that it's affecting a lot of users.

I'm going wait for a bit before installing any leaks.
I think it's time to throw in the towel :P

Just got the flicker in my camera app when trying the action mode. Took a bunch of quick pictures then when going to look at them then whole screen flickered. First time happening since I updated a few days ago.... not a big deal to me though.

Actually one thing I did is change the notification sound volume setting so that it is separate than media player volume. The flickering and volume seem to be connected for some.... think that setting could somehow be connected to the flickering?

BlackBerry Passport 10.3.1.2267
Is that an official release? Doesn't look like it.
Posted via CB10
Not Official yet, BB has sent it to selected Beta Testers for evaluation, but Official or not, it seems to have delivered the goods as no one has as yet reported any flickering.
Well I guess we can put this thread to rest. What you guys think?
